Was watching TV and not putting much thought into my play in general. Thoughts?

Well I was paying attention, just not my normal INTENT paying attention.

But am I to assume that every limp/reraise is auto AA or KK? In that case I should fold preflop always?

A significant flop bet has put like 40% of my stack in. A flat call, then what? Fold to a push, ok, but what about a minraise?

Am I really just calling this hoping for 3 spades?

It depends is the corret answer. in poker there are no absolutes. If you have spent the last buncha hands raising, then he might be playing you with air. If he is very tight he very well has AA/KK/QQ. I often re-raise with non- AA/KK hands so again it depends. I can not answer your question without being there and having a feel for the table and that opponent. against a complete unknown I would very well just call and see a flop, here, bet on the flop and fold to an All-in.
a common scenario that happens is I raise with a small PP and get re-raised. I call, and if I hit my set I take their stack. so there can always be a reason to call

My standard is folding. Mostly because I like to fold and esp. when I think I have a dominated hand.

Basically I played this as bad as I could have.

On the flop, I'm looking for a c-bet from QQ or similar. Thing is, smart ones will check behind there knowing they have good showdown value if I don't have a K., and why would I check a strong K there in a reraised pot?

The only hands that call my push have me smoked, be it AA, or an oddly played 33 or 55, or very unlikely KK.

Am I missing anything?


Is there anything positive to say about my play?

 He's a short-stack, absent reads, your decision is Pre-flop:
1) You could just fold
2) If you're calling you have to stack off here
3) I 4bet to $7.50 and let the cards fall. He's not laying down JJ/QQ IMO, maybe even AJ, AQ.

I don't think your hand i's terrible, flush draw will call, KQ, KJ. You'll be surprised sometimes.

{EDIT: I think I thought this was 50NL, obv neither is that short}

This is why you pay attention, to see how often this guy raises and reraises preflop. For a lot of people they only reraise AA/KK, or AA/KK/QQ/AK, so if he's one of them then you can fold preflop.

I've only seen limp(or call)-reraise preflop from a maniac with a hand like TT-QQ/AK, a short stack who wants to gamble and has something like Axs, and AA.

I'd call just because folding seems so week, but I agree, I'm only looking for a flush and/or straight draw.

Here you can bet $4 and fold to a reraise, or just c/fold, as you are only beating a bluff.
