25NL 6-max
villen in the CO is a solid player not too crazy
Hero is in BB with

villain $19.50
her0 ~$22

> malibuke posted small blind ($0.10)
> hero posted big blind ($0.25)
> los_cojones folded
> AeRoksi folded
> villain called for $0.25
> HaNNaH71 folded
> malibuke called for $0.15
> hero checked
(pot $0.75)
OK I have a good drawing hand, I'll take a free flop.

> Dealing the Flop(:Qd: :Jh: )
> malibuke bet for $0.25
> hero called for $0.25
> villain raised for $1.25
> malibuke called for $1
> hero called for $1
(pot $4.50)
I flop a flush draw and a gutshot. Fairly cheap so I call.

> Dealing the turn( )
> malibuke checked
> hero checked
> villain checked
(pot $4.50)
Hit my flush draw, decide to slow play because on the flop there was a bet and a re-raise.

> Dealing the river(:Kh: )
> malibuke checked
> hero bet for $4.50
> villain raised for $18.00 (all in)
> malibuke folded
They both checked so I push hopping to get paid off. Looks like he turned a flush too and was slowplaying me.

The check on the turn makes me think he is on a draw...

call/fold? I only have $6 invested in this pot

edit: added the fancy card icons :P

Or the K completed his straight draw (10 9), or gave him 2 pair (KJ, KQ)...

Could have 3 of a kind on the flop, be scared of the turn flush but since no one bet it assumes everyone is as worried as he is and is trying to push you off a straight (since you repped the K helped you).

Flush over flush with only 3 on the board is rare enough I pay here. Plus you discounted the fact he was drawing to a LOWER flush.

How do you get cards like Ten-of-Diamond-Hearts And 8 of hearts?

That would be awesome.

But seriously... the only way you get overflushed is with Axh , which is prettty unlikely. I call.

Sweet. The answer to my prayers ... cards that can change suit AFTER the flop. Tell me how you do it and I'm gonna kill 25NL like never before.

But *if* this hand was 200NL or whatever you play do you lay it down? Maybe I have been reading too many off these 2knl posts where ABC poker doesn't work

I still dont like the turn check. I would be betting this, as i dont like the fourth D coming on River. But balancing this against the river chance to complete straight, makes this an interesting hand.

I am at 25NL now and i find 3/4 bets on turn into completed flush usually = destack of opponent with anything from TPTK to set to completed straight on river.

Thoughts on turn?

If villain isnt a maniac, I cant see him c/r AI river with anything but a flush, usually nut flush. If you have 35d then I think its a fold. However your T high flush is high enough I think you have to pay off here.

I doubt he checked the turn because he was afraid of the flush card hitting. If he was scared I had a flush he would have folded/called my river bet.
