Hand 1 my logic was that this maniac could have been chasing a flush, have middle pair to the board etc... I just didn't put it past such a loose player to be fairly weak, and I wanted to give him a chance to bluff, which he did with 78o. I figured he was likely to have shown similar aggression on the river to my river check with any pair on the board anyway...

Hand 2 I ran into a set of 4s
