Preflop: Hero is MP1 with A, Q.
2 folds, Hero raises to $1, 5 folds, BB calls $0.75.

Flop: ($2.10) K, J, T (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $1.5, BB calls $1.50.

BB checks, Hero bets $4, BB calls $4.

River: ($13.10) J (2 players)

No reads on villain
On the river, I think I should raise to about $3, and fold to a push that represents a boat, no? Or can you fold at all???

jackvance is an unknown quantity at this point
meh it all seems kinda fine to me, whatever you decide

- shove, it's still kinda large compared to the pot though so you might fold out most of his hands and only get called by the boat, depends on how sucky he is, no sensible person is calling a shove with TP there
- raise to $3-4, fold if he shoves which he only does with a boat.. kinda lame to fold for like $6-7 extra though
- call if you have a feeling it's a "plz raise me" minbet

guys really? a set doesn't check/call the flop and turn, he's on a club flush draw and he missed. This is a weakass attempt at getting you to fold. He didn't want to bet and he knew if he checked you would bet big. He hopes you call and his AcTc is good. He's not calling any bet. So shove, it may seem weak.

Option two. He was leading you on and has AJ. He thinks you have the Flush draw. He hopes you reraise his fake weak bet. You shove he calls, giggling under his breath. he calls, Ship it

He can't have AcTc, the Tc was on the flop. If he had a suited A it was probably Ababy suited. A7,A8,A9. AcKc raises the flop everytime, if not definitely will either lead or c/r the turn.

I agree here though, a set or two pair doesn't check call the flop or turn. Trainer, do you think a weak-passive player would c/c two pair KJ/KT here? A TAG never would, but weak-passive might be worried about the 3 broadway 2 flush board and check/call with two pair. This is a tough spot if we don't have a read on villian though, there are a lot of tricky players who will flat call with KK from the BB if the hand is heads up for disguise (Not sure if this happens much at SS or not). He could have TT as if he's a knowledgable player he understands it's retarded to reraise with TT OOP. I guess it all depends on how clever we think he is. Against your standard nitwit SS fish I would say, the consensus is right here, OP's almost certainly got the best hand, shove and pray villian has AJ.

why are we pushing when we have the chance to get some minor value? I don't think villain has a hand to call a push, unless he played a set reallllly slow

Actually, I still fell that the bet move is to raise to $3. As I could only see villain call a push with a boat ... calling with AJ? ... I don't think so, at least with no reads.
I could also see a standard villain having had a busted draw ...

As for the hand, I stupidly called on the river fearing the boat and he showed QTo ...

jimmy you're giving small stakes players _way_ too much credit here. Villian's calling a lot of hands with a shove that aren't a boat.

I guarantee you that @ 10 or 25NL no one is laying down any jack regardless of whether it's a boat or not.
