Villain is one of the seemingly better regulars around. I have hands on him from 50nl and 25nl. We haven't gotten into any spots together before, no notes.

I have him running 18/14/3 over 189 hands with a 43% ATS with a 55% cbet.

What's our plan? How many barrels are we willing to call?

He probably sees me as standard tag or whatever..14/11/3 perhaps.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (8 handed) - Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com

CO ($6.55)
Hero (Button) ($25)
SB ($31.10)
BB ($27)
UTG ($53.70)
UTG+1 ($18.45)
MP1 ($26.20)
MP2 ($27.80)

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q, A
1 fold, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 bets $1.25, 2 folds, Hero calls $1.25, 3 folds

Flop: ($3.10) A, 3, 10 (2 players)
MP1 bets $2.75, Hero

I feel like just calling the flop turns my hand face up, like if I had some sort of draw/set I'd probably raise. If I just call it's pretty much opening up the door for him to fire 2-3 barrels and get me off my hand. So should I be playing hands like sets/draws differently here by just calling flop? It seems like it would be less exploitable if I balance my 1pair type hands into the same line as my big draws/nut hands and also get more value from him firing barrels on turn/river with a weaker range than if I had raised the flop.

if you think calling here will make him barrel you, then yeah I'd c/c sets two streets and jam a safe river
but I think calling two streets is good, he'd probably pussy out on the river if he's bluffing

yes you are right BUT at 25nl not even the good regs are going to be looking at both their own range and their opponents range (you may be the exception). I think you are probably overthinking and projecting to some extent. I mean, just from the large cbet size I am probably only calling down one street..

And it is not exploitable to have a range that is made largely of bluffcatchers. It happens loads of times and we have position so it's fine. If we thinks he's going to triple barrel a lot then call down but until you have a reason to believe so just playing straightforward is the way to go at this level.

edit: forgot crucial word
