No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1/$2
10 players
Seat 1: Button ( $35.00 USD )
Seat 2: SB ( $422.45 USD )
Seat 3: Hero ( $224.95 USD )
Seat 4: UTG ( $19.25 USD )
Seat 5: UTG+1 ( $105.75 USD )
Seat 6: MP1 ( $388.35 USD )
Seat 7: MP2 ( $107.00 USD )
Seat 8: MP3 ( $219.90 USD )
Seat 9: CO+1 ( $190.55 USD )
Seat 10: CO ( $46.05 USD )
Converter

Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is BB with A T
8 folds, SB raises to $7, Hero calls.

Flop: 5 7 4 ($14, 2 players)
SB bets $9, Hero calls.

Turn: K ($32, 2 players)
SB checks, Hero checks.

River: 9 ($32, 2 players)
SB bets $22, Hero raises to $100, SB raises to $429.45, Hero calls.

Villain was 15/12/4 (for 300 hands). Seemed pretty solid and I did not saw him get out of line. This is a call, but I was just wondering, with my line, can villain here have a Set here? or a Q? or a bluff?

8c6c ftw.

If he doesn't have a straight flush here he's a total retard or on a bluff (and this is a pretty retarded spot for a bluff IMO, but I know jacksh!t about bluffing). Qc should clearly just flat your raise, and sets/straights probably the same.

I'm curious what he showed.

This spot is so gross. His range is like straight flush/ bluff and it's a pretty retarded spot to bluff although you did check the turn, which he might not think you would do with Ac.

Hmmmmm.

Your line looks pretty weak all the way to the river -- I could imagine him thinking you're FOS on the river and just shoving over.

Plus this is BvB. I doubt he's giving you credit for much. Maybe he thinks he can push you off of a weak flush. If so, I hate his line given how much you've comitted by your river raise. Also a terrible line if he's got a baby flush.

Wow... well... My thought, and remember I'm a microstakes player, you have to call it.

You called in, just called his 3/4 pot bet... then checked when the total club scare flush appears on the turn.. so if I am him I probably put you on high pocket pair, possible set... he has to figure you stopped due to the flush possibility, or he has you on A-rag with pairing the rag...

I say you have to call him. He has the flush... I'd even say he is sitting on the Qc

I'm not folding this but I think his range is just straight flushes lol. I've just noticed how deep he is compared to you and you only need to call $116 here. That would make this a horrible bluff by him and he's not doing it for value with anything else.

Call/

I mean it's so gross. Call because you checked the turn and he miiiiiight just have air not believing you would check the turn w/ Ac but honestly it's a mindfuck of a hand.

HOLY NIT BATMAN.

I think the probability that this seemingly decent player is having a lapse in judgment / letting their gf take over is greater than the probability of them having flopped a straight flush.

Decent preflop stats does not make one a perfect postflop player.

I think it's more likely spew / tilt than it is value.

Tilt + is probably enough to convince this villain that a push here is for value.

It's a bluff 99% of the time. You win whether he has the Str8 flush or not. Checking behind the turn was meant to elicit this exact response, why are you questioning it now?

I agree which is why I'm calling but his range is basically straight flush/air which is fucking wierd. Cos the straight flush is so unlikely statistically it's a call.

Instead of focusing on the river look at the flop. Raise. And bet the turn.

Thanks for the comments!
I was not thinking of folding and we cannot fold.
My goal with this thread was to think about it and try to put villain in hands.
