I can c/r flop or c/r flop and fire again on turn. I think it's probably correct to set myself up for a double barrel, whether or not I will do it. However, I can't raise a weak amount because I don't want to look weak.

I have played a few hundred hands with villian, and if he's paid any attention, he should know that all my bets are big, and that I look like a LAG preflop, but not so much postflop.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $2 BB (8 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

BB ($182.55)
UTG ($167.75)
UTG+1 ($232.80)
MP1 ($202.05)
MP2 ($338.20)
CO ($196.10)
Button ($196)
Hero ($198)

Preflop: Hero is SB with garbage.
2 folds, MP1 raises to $8, 3 folds, Hero calls $7, 1 fold.

Flop: ($18) 8, 3, K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $12, Hero raises to how much?

Thanks. I asked because I felt 40 was possibly too big. Maybe it just looks it to me since I've only recently learned the 'raise to' distinction. Leaving enough behind is important in case I decide to fire again.

Flop: ($18) 8, 3, K (2 players)
Hero checks, MP1 bets $12, Hero raises to $40, MP1 folds.

Final Pot: $42

$30 might make it easier to triple barrel, but I''m not quite sure what kinda flops I want to plan that out on yet.

What do you do if villain bets the pot? Make it $50?
