#1 Was my Turn too small? ( i think so, esp OOP)? I felt the flop missed vill but I bet scared of aj,kj on the turn and prob left the door wide open for draw hands too. Early on table. no stats. Would the better line be to check/fold or bigger bet to thin field and def vill's hand better.

#2 Did I get this one closer to right? Would this river be considered thin value or a blocking bet? I bet b/c I thought checking might give him an opening and give me too hard a decision. As it was if he came over the top I was folding.
Better... worse... same????
FTR I felt this one played out more like I planned. The first one felt like i was stumbling in the dark. Maybe just results oriented too....

Hand 1 is fine. Especially if you were planning on B/F the turn.
Hand 2 Check/Call. All the draws missed and its very unlikely he's gonna pay off a 3rd bet with 77-88 or J9,Q9.

I can see your point on check call. Maybe gets me a few more monies when ahead and doesn't lose too much when I'm behind. My thought was how often does he have an overpair on me when I check and he bets that river.

Almost never, the only one that's realistic is JJ and maaaaaaaaaaaaaybe QQ but I doubt it - no 3b pre, no raises post.

Hand 1: I bet a little more on turn for value, you have a decent made hand + OESD.
Hand 2: Agree with c/c
