SB was 17/7 over 30 hands.

Anyone fold PF? Raise flop? I have tended to play 2 pair slower on flop and faster on a safe turn card lately.

The flop overbet from SB and call from BB scared me a bit. The after he folded turn it looked like the SB was desparate, and didnt want a call. It was by no means an insta-call at the time.

yes, i fold PF. i think the flop is call/fold. with the action in front of you it's clear that this is gonna be a big pot. the turn is usually gonna make things harder for you. SB's range is probably 2-Pair, Set, TcXc, SD+FD, and JJ. To me this looks like either JJ or 8c9c on the turn. i'd bail.

Raising this flop sucks. Calling and folding to the turn push is fine. This guy doesn't want his better hand sucked out on.

One of them is certainly drawing. I think playing this flop really fast is just GAMB00L and there is a real edge to be had on the turn.

Ha, thanks for the replies Fnord. I played this hand for you b/c of your recent statment in celeb chat about opening up on limping on the button. The rest of my game is styled towards Renton's guides.

So do we have the edge in this case on the turn?? Were we looking for any non club? Or any nonclub + non face card?

Yeah, we want to see the turn card, see what story he's telling about it with his turn bet then figure it out from there. The 3-way nature of this limped pot is going to tend to keep him honest.

If you're good here, it's probably something like QT/KT playing a weird sort of aggro-scared.

Dont you think he would have raised JJ pf? 8c9c is a thought, but its pretty tough to put him on that specific of a hand.

Really silly, but it certainly fits. I see over-bet lines like this here and there at my stakes, but so few of them go to showdown.

Did you remember to taunt the table coaches?

i know lots of players who do and don't raise it PF. but just cuz the pot is limped doesn't lead me to tossing it out of the range.
