AF and SD% would help on hand 1, id be tempted to 3-bet. as played is fine though.

hand 2: i dunno i hate these spots. i might just check-fold the turn. i dont like to go past the flop in reraised pots with ace high. i think you have very little fold equity here...and i expect him to have a flush or AQ here almost every time once he calls the flop

i didnt like betting the flop either, but i felt like i needed to represent an overpair. do people generally just check/fold in these spots? my flop bet was pretty weak i kno

i decided to fire again on the turn bc i thought it would be a really hard call for anything but the flush. i felt like villian could have called me with a lot of qx type hands that might let go on the turn [since he has a 35 vpip]

Me too. He's a shortstack and I don't mind gambling here.

I think Hand 2 is good. On the turn you have fold equity and outs against a shortstack, good place for a push.
