V is unknown.

Should I have bet the turn for value? Was afraid (nitty?) of a c/r when the 9 came on the turn. I figure QQ+ is out of his range... now I dont' know why I didn't bet on the turn? bleh

I don't hate the way you played it here. You're right, it's a bit nitty, but not horrible. I think I'm more agro, I raise more on the flop and I bet again on the turn, but it's borderline. The 9 scares V if he doesn't have one, so you might actually lose river value if you bet on the turn and V folds.

It's fine as played.

I'm with yah for the river shoving, but shoving turn? I see that only scaring off worse hands. Shoving turn just screams to villain "I have a nine!" if he's even got a few working neurons...

Shoving river looks more like "I am repping a nine, but I'm probably bluffing". I see worse hands being more inclined to call the river shove, but not the turn.

LOL I always take what you say right to heart and learn, but everytime I read a post where you say shove, I laugh so hard, kinda in the same way when I hear the word poop, I laugh Could you possibly elaborate on the turn shove as d0zer was asking about? Shoving river I think I see clearly now as there's more hands I'm ahead of than behind.

Essentially shoving the turn is turning our hand into a bluff, isn't it? We're not trying to get them off of anything, but it is a scary card.

If this is your read, then only 1 hand beats you (9x). Therefore, shoving the river being ahead of more (almost all) hands than you're behind seems best imo.

BankItDrew will become famous soon enough
check turn (pot control + showing weakness = better value on river)

shove river (awesome board + weakness on turn = looks like bluff)
