Hey,

Well, let me first comment the hand:

Pre flop raise is fine, you elimininate potential limpers this way and you're middle position which is ok for your hand.

I'd put villain on low PP/Qx+/suited connectors from his position (assuming he is tight).

Post flop is a little tricky if you ask me. A little rule I follow is, you either have a hand with the flop or you have to be veeeeery careful. I only draw, if I have the pot odds to do so. I would definitely check here, see what opp does. If I encounter resistance I'd probably just fold, this may seem weak in this spot, but you have nothing atm, why draw for the possible 3 outs (Aces) especially if you don't have any reads about the table.

I'd put him on Kx or 7x or Flush draw as of now.

Turn, well see my comment on the flop ... same situation. As played I would get out after you have been raised. He has a hand, displays strength, why call here (basically assume that he is LAgg (Loose/Aggressive) and tries to scare you with litte/nothing on his hand) and give him free money? Get out, don't put your money in, when you're behind.

I'd definitely see his raise as TPTK (top pair top kicker), top two pair K9 or he hit his Flush.

River: Good you got out! There will be a better spot to put your money in!

It definitely depends on playing style but as a general rule: there is no shame in folding when you know, that you're behind. I don't know what you thought at the time, but never get yourself tricked into thinking: "damn, I already paid so much money into the pot, now I'm gonna stay till the last card". Think about it this way, as soon as you put in your bet/raise the money is no longer yours, it belongs to the pot now. There is no reason to commit yourself any further. Put your money in when you're ahead!

OP, Cbet flop as you did, check/fold turn. Opponent has a flush most likely.

As tempting as it is to call the turn minraise, it more than likely means you're beat here given the villain isn't giving up despite 2 streets of aggression from you.

I'm wary of firing the double-barrel against unknowns. Save em' for known tight players who are more likely to lay'er down. A flop c-bet call could mean slowplay, TPGK hands, draws, and any number of hands that loose players aren't gunna lay down to turn aggression.

wow. can you guys calculate pot odds?

pot is $2.05 on turn. hero lays in $.70, gets minraised. pot now $4.25. he has to call $.70 into $4.25, and you recommend a fold with the redraw to the nuts?

folding is a mistake here....big time. especially if villain HAS the flush. he'll pay off when you push the river. if you miss, you fold. simple.

thats why i LOOOOOOOOOVE the minraise. it lays all kinds of odds to all kinds of shit. and if done deep, gives you all kinds of implied odds on his sorry ass. villain is a class A moron. you just didnt get to prove it to him this time.

you played it fine for the way you played it. however, if i decide to 2barrel here, which i do frequently because i bet my draws on the flop, i'm firing a much larger turn bet. $1.50 minimum.

if i fire $1.50 and villain minraises me, pot is now $6.50ish and i only need to call another $1.50. i still have outstanding odds to play my redraw, AND its easier to stack villain because we are close to commitment time. of course, villain wasnt deep enough here, i actually am committed if the A hits to call his flush off. but, dont fold to a $.70 minraise when you are drawing 9 outs to the nuts.
LHE is a game where your skill keeps you breakeven until you hit your rush of random BS.

Nothing beats flopping quads while dropping a duece!

My bad, didn't see the flush draw on the turn. I'd still have called it regardless cause I just can't (almost) ever fold to a minraise, but I probably wouldn't have fired on the turn to have the decision in the first place. Hrmmm...maybe with the FD I woulda.

Agreed that it's gotta be bigger though.
