PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.02 BB (8 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero ($4.97)
UTG+1 ($2.41)
MP1 ($2.13)
MP2 ($1.92)
CO ($2.30)
Button ($3.09)
SB ($4.89)
BB ($2.53)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with T, T.
Hero raises to $0.12, UTG+1 calls $0.12, 5 folds, BB calls $0.10.

Flop: ($0.37) 5, 7, 9 (3 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.2, UTG+1 folds, BB calls $0.20.

Turn: ($0.77) A (2 players)
BB checks, Hero checks.

River: ($0.77) A (2 players)
BB bets $1, Hero folds.

Final Pot: $1.77

Did i make the right fold here? First hand at the table that i played so no reads. It looked a little like a bluff to me but an ace is the sort of card people at these stakes will call with especially if they think it is a continuation bet.

At this level it is very hard to say what opp has, he could have 68o/s, A9, 99, 77, 55, Ax, 5x, 7x, 9x, or pretty much any two random cards depending..

Without a read here I don't think you can do much but fold. I usually try to avoid raising the first hand at the table unless I get QQ-AA, I know it sucks but they're nto going to give you any respect on the first hand, so just show down a good hand first.

He has J9. I'd slide naked down a razor blade into a lake of acid if I'm wrong. Not that being sliced severely or being naked would matter at that point.

The mistake you made was checking behind on the turn ace. Bet the same amount as the flop and see if you get check raised. If he just calls the turn then check behind on the river.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.
