I 3-bet flop, making it around 40ish to go.

As played I lead for 23, fold to a raise.

I was thinking the same thing. This guy is getting cute on the flop with no fold equity, and a possible flush draw. This is a 3-Bet flop, hammer a safe turn hand.
It's not what's inside that counts. Have you seen what's inside?
Internal organs. And they're getting uglier by the minute.

why fold to a raise? there was no raise preflop so I doubt he has QQ or TT... and theres only one other 8 out there, which he probably doesnt have.

Strike that, I'm not sure anymore. Will an unknown villain raise something we beat (a flushdraw or something like AQ? AsQs maybe?) on both flop and turn? I'd think we were usually beat if raised here twice, but then again I'm weak tight sometimes. Someone come in and discuss this kthx.

Weak players with 8x or better rarely raise this flop. I play this hand like the nuts.

Yeah, 3-bet all the way. As played, I like a wobbly kneed check/raise a/i on the turn but leading out is fine, too. He's got a Q here, QT if we're real lucky.

This is stuff like KQ/QJ/QT a lot.

I might play this really really fast on the flop in hopes to induce some heroism.

Don't you love that? It's like when you trip that guy in high school, and he jumps up from the ground with clenched fists and a red face. Then he gets owned anyway, because he sucks at fighting.
