No reads. Anyone check behind this river? I'm trying to get better at figuring out when to put my stack in the middle without the nuts on the river. I was thinking he'll call with any king and any boat, and figured if he had the boat he'd probably lead the river?
Also, how is the size of the turn bet?

i'd value bet it $40. The trips really didn't do anything for you... if he has KQ or KJ i think he's more likely to call this bet. And, if he raises you allin, you can possibly fold to an obvious boat (unless reads tell you otherwise).
The turn bet is good, you want to keep the pot small with TP.

The trips did do something for me in the way that it makes KQ/KJ a bit more likely to call a bet as they now at least beat AA. If I make it 40$ I'll get over 6:1 to call a push, I'd need one hell of a read to make that laydown.
If we decide to bet, he'll have to call a 70$ push something like 55% of the times he calls a 40$ bet for the plays to be equally profitable. I believe that if a villain is going to call a 40$ bet he's probably going to call a 70$ bet at least a tiny bit more often than that.
The real question is how often will an unknown villain hold a boat when he calls as opposed to how often he will hold a weaker king. I'm thinking that a check behind is probably in order against an unknown.

opp chasing? I like the 70bet into the 80 pot river. I think it gets called by a king often enough (perhaps even a weaker hand at times) enough to make it a better bet than say $40, but its certainly very close.
