Pre-flop: (9 players) Hero is SB with K A
7 folds, Hero raises to $3, BB calls.

Flop: 7 6 3 ($6, 2 players)
Hero bets $4.5, BB calls.

Turn: K ($15, 2 players)
Hero bets $10, BB calls.

River: 4 ($35, 2 players)
Hero checks, BB bets $30, Hero ???.


villain was 37/13/1.4 (river aggression = 3)
Can you put him only on a 5 or a set? I think here I'm good most of the time even with the near pot bet, no?

37% VPIP could be any number of things, KQ...57s, 34, etc. Depending on stack sizes, I could see betting 24 and folding to a shove, or check-calling (as you did), maybe even check-folding with some decent reads. With that high river aggression, you have to believe he can show up with more than the nuts.

If I had played it, I'd probably bet the river.

I should have bet about $25 and folded to a push/raise.

I called and opp showed 55 for a straight.
