So this check behind would probably be better if the flop showed A 7 A rainbow and I held KK?

Is it bad because of the flush draw?

flop check is bad here. you have a real hand here, and you don't want to give free cards at this point.

checking advertises you dont have it if you arent the sort of player to check behind with made hands or totally missed cards to induce turn play.
