Pre-flop: (10 players) Hero is BU with J T
UTG calls, 5 folds, CO calls, Hero calls, SB folds, BB checks.
Flop: 9 9 T ($2.5, 4 players)
BB bets $2, UTG raises to $4, CO folds, Hero calls, BB calls.
Turn: J ($14.5, 3 players)
BB bets $2.5, UTG raises to $15, Hero calls, BB calls.
River: 5 ($59.5, 3 players)
BB bets $5, UTG raises to $10, Hero calls, BB raises all-in $21.8, UTG raises to $43.6, Hero ???
UTG was 57/24/3
BB was unknown only 3rd hand
On this river we are getting really good odds, and we are beating some of villans' ranges. Are they enough to call river?
I think I played this hand really bad and I felt that I should have folded/raised somewhere before river to avoid this difficult situation. Maybe flop was a fold? However, with UTG's stats I don't think it was ...
On the turn we should be looking for a cheap showdown ...

i dont mind limping in JTo on the BU in loose games occasionally. Given actions on the flop, your hand beat nothing but pair T with lower kicker than J. Fold on flop, please. If you are paying fish/donk a big bet like this, you just turn yourself into a donk

Thanks for reminding me that! Indeed on this hand I was the donk!
I just felt that UTG limper could have anything plus I was on the button, then I ended up on the river with a huge decision with an average/weak hand and not bad pot odds ...
BAD BAD BAD play!!

I raise PF there everytime. The only time I limp on the BU is with SCs, low PPs.
JTo is just asking to be a 2nd best hand in a multi-way.

What pokerfan and dozer said are spot on. brutal limping hand. brutal 'calling on flop against a bettor and raiser with top pair weak kicker' hand.
I think you gotta try to do is get more into what you think your villain might have. On the flop, ask yourself: why would the first guy bet? maybe he has a straight draw, low pair, a nine, or a ten. what about the raiser? the raisers range must be narrow, he could have a straight draw, a nine, a limped big pair, or a better kicker with the ten. Only reason to call this bet is when we are confident that both players have weaker hands than us a high % of the time. Given the ranges, two weaker hands are here a very low % of the time.
