Villain 17/6 over 150 hands.

$0.5/$1 Pot Limit Holdem
8 players
Converted at weaktight.com

Stacks:
UTG 1ee7 ($112.75)
UTG+1 MiDra666 ($73.00)
MP1 CH4PSTER ($15.65)
MP2 KingBoromir ($100.10)
CO velvetmadman ($118.95)
BTN helga99 ($23.90)
SB Rugoom ($146.65)
BB Hero ($100.00)

Pre-flop: ($1.50, 8 players) Hero is BB
1 fold, MiDra666 calls $1, CH4PSTER calls $1, 2 folds, helga99 calls $1, Rugoom calls $0.50, Hero raises to $6, MiDra666 folds, CH4PSTER folds, helga99 calls $5, Rugoom calls $5

Flop: ($20, 3 players)
Rugoom checks, Hero bets $16, helga99 folds, Rugoom raises to $38, $22 to Hero ($78)?

Having some trouble with his limp/call range. I suppose SCs are in his range given he may have felt priced in by helga's call. Does villain do this with pair+draw? weaker overpairs?

Yeah my standard is 1 more...I musta accidentally hit my mousewheel so my AHK betpot decreased it by a BB.

I figured I'm up against 2pr+ or a combo draw so at best I'm basically a flip, but often beat pretty bad.

This assumes putting 88+ in his range is massively overoptimistic which I assume it is given how certain you guys seem... 55 is a possibility though.

Any holes in my thought process here

i only shove over vs very aggressive players. Also, i dont think that ppl at this level will c/r with all SD value hands enough times for you to get money in good here.

if villain just has oesd or flush draw you're 2 to 1
if villain does this with pair + draw he's flipping against you
if villain does this with set / straight you're crushed

it would be good to know how aggressive this guy is, you gave no stats like AF or AFq

note that his over pair range is very narrow because he completed the SB.
