villain is unknown, no stats. i figured his calling rang included lots of fd&st draws and small-medium pairs. Is this an excellent spot for us to double barrel when Q came out on the turn? please explain your thought process.

We're not getting him off of a draw, and his JT hit, so I don't like a double barrel.

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

These spots suck without reads.
The two line choices for me here would be check call a small bet, fold to a large bet or bet/fold. A double barrel may fold out a mid to low pocket pair or overs (most likely holding imo), but if he raises we would need to fold. Worst case scenario is another call from villian, so if you do double barrel it would need to be larger ($20 should be about right) to make a stand now and put more weight on the assumption that you have an overpair.

He flats pre, flats the strong raise from the blinds, flats the flop. This might just be a calling station.

okay, i was sold on not double barrel here thanks, folks. i always continued my aggressions in these spots and threw my money down the drain quickly against unthinking villains or slowplayers.
