A more suitable topic would be "Boy did I butcher this one". Villain is 25/7.3/2.67. WTSD 28, w$SD 33. I have seen him make weak leads and fold to raises twice. Other than that I haven't seen anything crazy.

I had the weak lead-fold read in mind when I made the tiny flop raise, I wanted to keep him in the hand. At the turn I "suddenly" realize that he might be weak-betting draws, and the QT OESD comes to mind. So I make a more healthy reraise on the turn. When he calls turn and the river completes the straight I basically pray to the dark lords that I am on the good side of a set vs set, and decide to put my stack in the middle. Implied odds for him, anyone?

What does hero do differently next time? Strong flop raise, strong turn raise, check behind river?

Miffed22001 is on a distinguished road
his turn call is horrible oop vs how you played the hand.

Think of it this way. If he has the QT draw he has to lead the river because you can check behind and his chasing produced no implied odds payoff. Therefore if he chases and leads you can fold a lot of hands vs the sie of bet he needs to make to get paid off and forhis turn play to be +ev (even neutral ev. (QTdiamonds is maybe a little less tricky but meh)
However his 3bet on the flop makes me think he has a set or overpair (or something very made) and therefore i think your turn and river lines are nice because a set is not folding here.
In this game i wouldnt be surprised to see kk or AA here but mostly likely 99/22. If he called teh turn with QT he just made my buddy list

Lol I didn't notice the flop 3-bet when reviewing the hand in PT. Now that I remember I did figure him for a made hand when he made that raise, that's why I didn't 4-bet even though I realized I was laying him good drawing odds. I wanted him to stick around with tp type hands, a set vs set would probably end up AI in the end anyway. Even so I should have made the initial raise bigger.

Thanks for the logic on him not checking the river with a chased straight, makes perfect sense. This is why we don't raise draw-completing rivers if lead into, right?

If the poker room clients had a buddy list system he'd definitely be on it though.. He flipped QJ

I check behind vs. unknowns, but that's because I'm hella weak/tight at showdown.

I'd probably just value bet the river rather than shove, but definitely never checking behind. Nh.
