Raise preflop to 7-8x. This keeps you out of shit like this for the most part.

As played, this is a definite fold on the river.

The final pot before you call is like $9.60 split three ways, or $3.20, so the pot odds dictate that you're calling $3 to win $3.20, which sucks here.
