 Cant put him on KT but I can easily see him on AQ. I like the pre flop raise with AK.

On the flop a min raise will not make him fold too often IMO. I would just cold call this or fold. Not ready to play for stacks just yet. Once the A comes and if he checks then you can bet and get all the info you need.

Are there any hands that Chimmy would raise pf, call a reraise with and check raise the flop with that you beat? That is a horrible flop for AK, most of the time only a T helps you. Your flop bet is way too small. Fold to the check raise.

 fold the flop checkraise. He is representing at least top pair top kicker, which has you drawing dead to three kings.

As played, bet the turn to see where you are at (like 1/3-1/2 the pot).

As played past the turn, fold to the river bet.

IMO. I am still trying to master 25nl, running about 11bb, so don't take too much stock in my advice.

The flop sucks for you because every hand that you hoped your opp would have against your AK preflop, now dominate your AK because they've paired their kicker.

This was my thinking, pretty much.

Hands that might bet like he has include AJ, AQ, JJ, QQ... possibly QJ seeing as it's $25 but i think there's only a very small chance of that.

I folded, cursing myself for:
1) calling the checkraise (isn't AK supposed to be the hand you can get away from cheaply?!)
2) checking behind the turn

However i have a feeling that the river was actually a pot odds call.

I'm not very good at marginal calls where I suspect I am beat but the pot says call. I think it's because historically I have been a SnG player where survival is the key.

The foundation of my game is camping hands, seeing flops looking to hit big and check/calling aggressive players

Don't get me wrong, i'm vp$ip ~ 18/19%... i/m not a maniac... but yeah smarter players do notice i bet a LOT of pots and slowplay me.
