PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $1.00 BB (9 handed) Poker-Stars Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

MP3 ($99.10)
CO ($58.40)
Button ($16.50)
SB ($276.65)
BB ($93.10)
UTG ($104.05)
UTG+1 ($52.95)
MP1 ($32.85)
Hero ($187.80)

Preflop: Hero is MP2 with J, J.
UTG raises to $4, 2 folds, Hero calls $4, 4 folds, BB calls $3.

Flop: ($12.50) 6, 4, T (3 players)
BB bets $2, UTG raises to $10, Hero raises to $23, BB folds, UTG calls $13.

Turn: ($60.50) A (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

River: ($60.50) 3 (2 players)
UTG checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: $60.50

Villain (UTG) is fairly tight, something like 14/6 or 15/5.

I 3-bet the flop to see where I was at since I thought it was likely he would raise over BB's dumbass bet with AK/AQ as well as big pairs. The plan was to shut down if I got a call, but somehow I feel like a dumbass on how I played this and I'm not sure why. Thoughts?

I have no interest in discussing strategy with a protege'. Your job is to remain quiet and listen. I have a very systematic approach that I will share with the right candidate and I promise that I will turn you into a force of nature and show you elements of the game of poker that you never knew existed.

I think this is well played. Only other way to play it IMO is to fold flop. You get to showdown cheaply and I don't think he folds river bet (although you have to wonder if he has an A then why not lead river).....

Looks like QQ/KK to me

I fold the flop most of the time against an UTG raiser with this action. Given turn and river action, this is QQ-KK most of the time.
