Puckstopper is showing strong, as is swiggidy. anon e moose too, all pretty consistently hitting the mark. Looks like I've got some ground to gain.

Don't forget courtiebee, she's only played 1 game and there's plenty of time left to play all 12.

<-- huge luckbox fish here, nothing to see moving on
Don't diss anosmic (although his blind donations helped me out a ton this week)
Really it's WIDE open. you and halv are experienced donkamentors. Halv also has the euro fish factor working in his favor. Fimanoid has been taking HUGE beatings so a little silicon lube on the luckbox and he's right back in it. Plus there's the random winner of the next 40+ person event. The only one whos really out of it is DaGoat, but we knew that before the season started...

Thanks swiggidy, it's nice that someone is at least allowing me to enjoy the idea of me being in with a shot
As for the blind donations, yes, I just couldn't find a way to play back at you. I suppose I'm lacking aggression.
I'm now re-reading HOH in the hope of finding some tips before the next Gauntlet game.

wait a minute - by not stating names does not mean i don't think there's a chance that others can win it all. Someone with 0 games played so far can easily still take it. Just thought it is worth giving props to those showing strong with some consistency so far.

If I'm gonna take a shot, I'm gonna have to skip a LOT of work on Sundays, lol (I sure was pissed last Sunday when stupid PS locked me out 'cause I was all ready to play that one game). I'll see how I do next tourney and decide then maybe ...
The trophy sure is pretty though.

I shouldn't have played that Valentine's Day game...Low attendance in that one is really screwing me in the standings. That, and the fact that I can't win a freaking tourney

They're sometimes possible. To make my 12 games, I have to play some Sunday games too, especially because I can't always make Wednesday games.

If I get a run of cards I'll say screw the gauntlet and go play blackjack for rollz!
The only thing that is vital here is that Anosmic gets taken out early in his last two games so that we can cheat him out of top 3! Btw, no one ever claimed my huge $5.50 bounty on him in one of the first-ish games..

I'm registering tomorrow and sitting out. I'm 95% sure I can't make the game. Sucks because I wanted to make a run this season, I've only played 4 games so far. I can't play tomorrow, but maybe I could try to play 5 or 6 more and make a run still (if I keep playing and finishing well).

If courtiee could play she would definitely have a shot, since she can't I'll likely be richer.
ILikePie and Gator are easily in the best shape right now and it's not close.

Ilikepie and Gator are obv the favourites. But any number of players could make a good run (though time is running out as the field could start to thin as player reach their max).
Puckstopper is so due... he hasn't had a single-figure finish in 4-ages.

Haha, there are still a couple of games left for things to take a turn. Its veeeeeeeery close and exciting. To answer the question (btw: WHOAAAA do you get to CHOOSE?): I'd probably go with 9d7d. It's soooo sexy especially with blue cards.

I appreciate the vote of confidence, but obviously you didn't look at the standings. I'm still 70 pts behind you, we both have 5 games to play.
I'm 180 pts behind Halv with 2 games in hand. I only got 80 pts from the 2nd place finish last night.
It's Halv and Pie, you're a close 3rd, then a pack at a distant 4th.

Cheers man. I had an obscene run of cards yesterday, I got AA six times and QQ four times in 250 hands or so lol. Looking at the leaderboard, I think it will take at least 700 points to win this thing, so with three games to go, I need to pull out another win if im going to take it down.

ditto, it will be an interesting couple games.
FWIW I'll be in the next 2 Wed and can't make either sunday. So random entries should avoid sun so there aren't too many points available.

And on the other end of that spectrum, I just reviewed my HH and my cards were so bad I folded 26 straight hands and 38 out of 41.

Courtie and Swigg top the list of potential suspects, however after looking at JimmyMac's hand history from last night he is now considered a "person of interest".

Man! That's a nice result from my perspective.
Puckstopper failed to break into the top 3 and his race is over. None of the "big 3" of Courtie, Swiggidy and Gator managed to get more than 40 pts.
Swiggidy has to beat Pie and Halv twice to take the crown; if either of them win on Sunday they'll have huge hold on first place.
I plan on sitting out Sunday and hopefully join the big decider in Game 23 unless either Halv, Swiggidy or Pie take a shot next wednesday; and if they don't then Gator, Courtie and Jimmy Mac will have a good shot at making good use of their extra games too.
I suppose we'll know after Sunday, with 3 games remaining who the main contenders really are and whether anyone outside the current top ten will be able to take a shot with their extra games.
When they make the movie of all this high drama, who will they get in the roles? Obviously Courtie and Xianti will have to play themselves...

like a typical philadelphia sports team I choked in the home stretch.
It was a lot of fun playing, definitely not your ordinary $5 game.
Good luck to everyone still in contention for the trophy. That thing is sweet.

I just checked my Gauntlet stats. I make it:
Played: 14
Net: +$115
ROI: 124%
ITM: 21.4%
So I guess I've got my entry money for Season VI and VII if we keep the buy-in the same
Wish all my tournies were as profitable

You know I can't pass this up!!
Gauntlet entry - $5.50
games in Season VI and VII that you can play in- 24
$5.50 x 24 = $132
The last time I checked 132>115
And I didn't even take out your final entry for Season V. Are you 3rd leveling us with those mad math skills?
btw, nice stats either way. Mine are as follows:
Played: 21
Net: +$94.50
ROI: 34%
ITM: 23.8%
I will take those stats agaisnt the quality of players in the Gauntlet.
As a side note it appears that I am PWNING 6th place as I finished in that slot for Season IV and am currently there for Season V.
