Make there be a minimum amount of posts you must have to play in the gauntlet. It can be very small, say 10 or something. I don't like these people that sign up to FTR, make 1 post with their name for the gauntlet, then never post again but play in the gauntlet.

10 posts would be enough to be eligible to sign up.

Also, make it winner take all.

Beyond that, force the winner to buy into the highest buyin SnG that his profit from the gauntlet will allow. This way, we can all cheer our champion as if he was at a final table.

Wouldn't that be fun?

Precisely.

Not bad, gorilla. Maybe the prize, instead of $100, could be an entry into a $100 buyin tourney, or some such?

I might also recommend a slightly shorter season -- 16 instead of 24, with each person getting 8 max. They could then come around more frequently. Your thoughts?

You guys might hate this, but I was looking at how much money we FTR folks have been making, and it set me to thinking. The money for the Gauntlet isn't really a whole lot for most of us. What about dedicating the season's prize pool (or maybe like half of it, or something) to be donated to a charity of the season winner's choice?
TylerK: its just gambling if i want to worry about money i'll go to work lol

You shut up.

You shut up and you die.

I like it, but who is gonna hold 50% of the winnings? I don't trust any of you further than I could throw you!!!

Of course you can trust me 'rilla.

Now how about donating that 50% to the Dwarfman Charity for the Short?

In all seriousness, I'm sure Xianti or Tyson are perfectly trustworthy to hold some money.

I like the ideas of 2/week, but not 12 to qualify. The only problem with that is that they will be smaller.

I think paying out 1st-2nd-3rd is OK, although what if we took 1/2 the "daily" pool and paid it out to the individual winners, then the rest goes to the league winners.

I would be OK with raising the entry to $15 or $20. More than that, I think we will drop low BR players.

So, 3 months is 24 tournies. 20 people each is a pool of $200 (at $10 entry). Pay out $75/$25 to the top two, then to the winner overall total pook is $2400, could pay out $1000/$400/$200/$200/$200/$100/$100/$100/$100

No, but thanks for your concern.

The adults are speaking now. Go run along and play with your little limit friends.

Its a nice idea, but the people that did this would then sign up, waste space with 10 useless posts, then continue as usual. Right?
