Ban Lefou from playing!
... just kidding.
Instead of having the tournies every other week, rotating between the two days that have been decided on, I think it'd be better to have 2 a week, one on each day. Right now its easy to forget them, since there aren't really regular days, and the time between tournies can vary between a few days and nearly a couple weeks.
With them being more regular, I think you could get more interest, as everyone would know when they'd be each week and could plan on working them into their routine.
Plus the seasons would go by a bit faster, which would allow for more winners and would give people that had bad runs in one season a fresh start in the next season, which would start at a much sooner date.

I second that motion....and completely agree with Michael. Hmmm, that sounds weird now that I have said it

I'd rather see one a week with a better turn out than two.

Smithers, use the amnesia ray.
You mean the revolver, sir?
Precisely.

But if we have one a week rotating between two different days, we kind of have the same problem. No regular days and varying stretches between games (like if it stays Saturday and Wednesday, there'd be 1 tourney, then one 4 days later, then one 10 days later, then 4 days, etc.).
I thought about having enough players too, but I think having a regular Saturday game, for example, may even add to the number of players, as I bet many players would make the Saturday game their regular Gauntlet game. You're allowed to play up to half the games, so playing all of the games on one day would fulfill that nicely.
The games being irregular leads to less players, I think. Most people have to be reminded when a gauntlet is, or constantly be checking the schedule, instead of just knowing that there's one every week at a specific day and time.

I meant to say, "Have 1 a week on a specific day." But that gets into problems of people who are always busy at time X on day Y. Now that I think about it.
I guess 1 a week would be the worst choice.

I have a regular home game every other wednesday...sometime it conflicts with the Gauntlet. If there were a Gauntlet every Weds and Sat people could easily fit that into their schedule. The whole season would take 3 month instead of 6. Anyway I just like the idea of knowing there will be a game that day...and the ability to play 2 Gauntlets in a week if I so choose
I always seem to have a good time playing with you guys.

Agreed, I like the idea of every Wednesday and every Saturday. That would make it simpler. I don't even know when these games are and I made the schedule! I think we've generated enough interest in this first season to sustain a decent player population for 2 weekly games next season.
