I made up for my horrific and unaccpetable 12th place finish in tourney #7 with a 4th overall finish in tourney #8. Although finishing one out of the money is brutal, i was able to get some points and now have a chance at the top 5-10. the one spot is pretty far ahead, but you never know.
also, anyone know how many tourneys are in a season?
and again the level of play was great, it was a very grinding tournament but good practice for major tournament play.

There are a total of 24 matches played in a season of the gauntlet.
You may play in NO MORE THAN 12 events.

12th outta 20 isn't bad at all. in normal 2 table sngs at least a quarter of the players will provide dead money. here, every single player that is playing in the gauntlet is willing to spend time and energy to improve their game.
i remember i think it was 2 gauntlets ago, where it took almost 3 hours to finish. i busted pretty early, i think i was 2nd to bust...anywho i came back like 2 hours later and there was still a final table going.

Question?
I know the rules are already here. But when Season #2 starts if there are like 3 tables like last night 22 people I believe shouldnt there be 5 places paid? Or is that 30 places?
I was of course just wondering. Even though I got 8th and took Mike out in it though haha.
Of course Mike was focused in his MTT. Congrats on that btw.

MarkDMoney,
You had a very nice tournament last night. I wanted so badly to knock you out, but I just never seemed to have the cards (or the balls) when we battled!!!
I was looking forward to the Michael1123 matchup.
Anyway, very nice showing, you outlasted a bunch of great players, so good job!
We don't control the payouts with PokerStars, so it just is what it is, not even sure what the structure is. We will be testing with Absolute and may consider switching to them for Season #2, but we'll see.

TylerK,
You had a real nice tourney, too. You were relentless on the blinds, nice job.

Same to you guys, you all played well and i can say that it was no question the most skillful $10 field that I have ever played in.
I look forward to the next one.
