Ugh... not Absolute.
How do you guys feel about GamesGrid? They are willing to customize anything and everything any way we want and even keep track of stats for us.
Or would you just rather we take it back to PokerStars?

what times do you play?
Being in the UK means a lot or your US tourneys are in the middle of the night for us and aren't always practical.....

Half of the games are on Wednesday at 3am GMT (not good for us).
But half the games are on Saturday at 8pm GMT, so it's generally good for us Britons.

I only played two because of these times, could we perhaps move the Saturday one to Sundays? I am often doing other things on Saturdays whereas Sundays Im free.

Potentially. People generally go out on Saturday nights more than what they do on Sunday nights.
I'll second that motion.

I just signed up for a games grid account yesterday in anticipation of the RGP Open and the interface is pretty basic. However, I absolutely love that there is a button to rotate the (round) table so that you can put yourself anywhere you like....facilitates multitabling....In the end I prefer a uncluttered interface anyway.
That said....I have always liked Stars best, and many season 1 people didnt participate in season 2 because they didnt want to play at Absolute, so I guess the highest participatioon level will come from having it at Stars
I'm always up for something new so I am inclined to say give Games Grid a Chance.....I suppose you should just put up a poll and let everyone decide.
Chaging form Saturday to Sunday is cool with me.

Sundays may be more comfortable but remember us few Brits. If you have them midweek or at other hours where we may have work/school etc next day then you're really killing us from seeing any action (it took me until three games from the end to get the time to play)
I dont mind playing at 3am but thats only possible really on a friday or saturday night. Providing we have a decent number of games at these reasonable hours (do they really need to be on fixed times/places etc) then im ok with that.
Sunday is going to be difficult i expect.

The Sunday games will be at around 8pm GMT (like the Saturday ones) so how is that a problem?

Why does everyone hate absolute poker?
I am a newer player and play on absolute for freerolls and when I win a bit of money I remain on there and try to build it. I just want to know why ppl here think it is so bad? The review seem good...

I personally think Absolute is pretty good for normal ring and tourney play and like the interface, and the fishing there is pretty good. But my experience with them for administering private MTTs has been a nightmare.
The others here seem to hate the interface. I also have had a few occasions of it freezing up on me.

10pm (GMT) would be a better start time for me. No chance of playing at 8pm with 3 kids still running around.

I agree with a move to Sunday, would work well for me too, especially if it's at night. If it's Sunday during the day, during football season, I'd probably watch football. I liked Absolutes interface, but understand that it probably needs to be moved. I've never been to Games Grid, but I would for the Gauntlett. I'm already at Stars and wouldn't mind it being there either. I'm flexible.

Just to double check, do you need to have an active REAL MONEY account at these sites to join in the FTR Gauntlet? I'm assuming you do, so i wondered what the minimum deposits are, and what sort of entry fee's you normally have so i know if im Hitting well above my weight thinking i can enter?!

Yes. You need a real money account.
It was $5 this season at Absolute, but if we move it to PokerStars, the minimum set up for private tourneys is $10 + $1. So, $11 x 12 = $132 for a full season.

Have you ever asked Stars support why they change 10 at the min? I wonder if some loyal starts players can budge them to move it down to 5?

I've written to Stars about changing configurations. They won't budge for nobody due to "logistical" reasons.

Sundays I am playing golf (when there isnt' snow) and watching football when there is. I guess it really doesn't make a difference to me though b/c I never played on saturday anyway. I don't think sunday would be any different.

My Steelers are playing during the TOC tonight, so I'm destined to be distracted! (Any Panthers fans in the TOC?)

Any chance of the OTHER day being Tues/Thurs instead of Wednesday?

ANywhere is fine with me, but I second the notion that AP is full o fish just won my 4th MTT there in 7 tried within 12 days today's was a very small field $30 buy-in top prize was $360 not bad for an 11am tourney, largest on there yet for me was $1183 so far so good, there leader board guys are in everyone, just have to watch out for them otherwise not bad at all.
Once again, I am fine with any site, I have a login for most of them

I just downloaded GamesGrid, and it makes Absolute's interface look like the coming of Jesus. I mean, no offense, but the GamesGrid interface sucks. I think moving to Stars is the best option, mainly because we will get more players to participate.
As for the times, I don't really care...

I am almost always going out on Saturdays or doing some other stuff so I would also like the gauntlet to be moved to sunday. The week day times are almost impossible for us Euro players.

I like the Stars idea, but I'm a cheap bastard and don't like the idea of a $10+$1 buy in. I actually liked Absolute for the most part, but I do see a why people would want it changed and they are valid reasons.

now that i'm out of school..aka unemployed, I cant wait for the gauntlet to start. I'd prefer stars, and about the sunday thing as long as its after the first football games and the guys have moved the party down to the bars for the later games i'm all for it. I dont come home until after like 4 or 5pm EST

Heeeey.
Just came across this site whilst searching the internets for useful tidbits about poker.
I'll keep checking back on the site to see when the league is starting up. Seems like a really cool idea.
Any ideas when?

Make the weekend day a Sunday - us Brits are too busy keeping the wives happy on a Sat night to play

I would really liked to have played in this last season but only had the opportunity for two Saturday games and unforseen events meant I even missed those.
Another vote from Europe for Sunday evening games please - 8pm would be my preferred start time.
I don't have a preference about where they are played though.
