I was at level 2 and he must have been at level 3 or above!!!

This was a hand that eventually led to my demise last night. The button and SB steals had been relentless by everyone and I decided to see a flop and see if I could steal one from Meeloche as I would have position on him post flop.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero (t8103)
Button (t4929)
SB (t10968)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, 4.
1 fold, SB raises to t600, Hero calls t400.

Flop: (t1200) K, 8, Q (2 players)
SB bets t650, Hero calls t650. Fully expected this and planned to call here and bet after his check on the turn.

Turn: (t2500) J (2 players)
SB bets t1000, Hero folds. WTF? Why the smallish bet? Is this a value bet or another stab at the pot? Did he actually pick up a $%^&%$# hand? If he hit his hand wouldn't he check and hope I took a stab at it? Should I raise here to test him? If I do I am damn near pot committed. Am I willing to go all the way with this crap? %^&&*(*%#$# , guess I will fold. GRRRRRRRR

Final Pot: t3500

Results in white below:
No showdown. SB wins t3500.

meeloche: shows [2 5 ] (high card King) Now I am on FULL TILT (ok, not really but mad that I had him PERFECTLY read and didn't trust it). NH sir!!!

In retrospect, once you take out the FPS the hand should have looked like this:

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (3 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Hero (t8103)
Button (t4929)
SB (t10968)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9, 4.
1 fold, SB raises to t600, Hero folds.

The hand following this one where you got busted by meeloche soon after seemed a tad tilty if I remember right. I think you had ace high with a pair on the board and he had a pocket pair (deuces) plus the pair on the board and he moved you all in. The blinds were still incredibly small and I can't, for the life of me, figure out why you called there, other than tilt. The blinds were way too small and your M was still quite large... Am I wrong in thinking that was a wrong time to make the stand?

I think in the hand given, he was cbetting the flop and figured if you had something you would have reraised him there. That was a shitty time to be caught with your pants down. The turn bet was kind of standard too (with 3 players, he had first-in vigorish the whole time, a nice stack, cards irrelevant), given your weak call. FPS =/= win. When I saw this hand go down I thought for sure you folded a midpair and he outplayed you, but now, it's much more ugly.

Actually, I pushed over his bet on the turn, but when I went back to look at the hand I realized that it WAS the worst hand I played that night. He had re-raised me pre-flop and bet the turn so I couldn't put him on air (especially after the last hand we had played).

I could have folded to his bet on the turn and still had an M of over 10 so it was definitely very donkish to push. I don't think I was on tilt, but just got impatient and thought I could push him off of the hand.

And THAT, ladies and gentlemen, is why I am a fish.

I wasn't making that play to double up or see a flop, the two previous hands should show you why i made that move which is exactly what you wanted im sure, well played. I knew you probably wouldn't call with anything worse than ace queen or 1010 since my image at the time was pretty tight, (guess we can kiss that goodbye for next time) and i didn't think you were that strong, bad timing for me you actually had a big hand. I like to reraise med pairs like that oop in certain situations. I made a mistake and got lucky, your telling me you've never done that??

Uhh... I only jumped in at the end, but at the end the blinds were 100/200 and 200/400. The three remaining had about 20xBB or way better. Why all the crazy pushy pushes? 20BB+ is wayyyyy comfortable for poker playing as opposed to these crazy shovey shove shoves.

Am I just totally weak? lollercopter.
