When does the new season start?

Sorry if dopey question....I see that this season ended (congrats gator)
I was just wondering how soon the next season will start? Also....my FTR name and my pokerstars name are different. Is that a problem and if so can I change my name here and still have my posts carry over to my new name??

No real set schedule, probably 4 or 5 months from now. Xianti will announce it in this forum when it is going to roll again, and there is also a mailing list you can subscribe to.

Doesn't matter, all you need to do is register for the Gauntlet league.

the last like 10 games barely had enough players and some were canceled outright. i think we need to wait a while for the next season to start.

Agreed. I also think we need to discuss the scoring. I like the idea of not using total points to determine the winner. That way you don't have to bust your ass to get in all of the necessary games.

personally I think it is because the season was too long. It used to be 24 games, but was bumped up to 36 with the addition of the new formats.
I think if you modify the scoring that you can reduce the total number of games and still keep participation up.

I agree, too long, we had a lot of regs playing that just dropped out along the way. although I think that was the pattern even when it was shorter...
