Was wondering a few things about the gauntlet league. I saw a page that showed the format of the past events how u play 12 matches and they were generally 5 dollar buy ins and u win points for placing and all. But i was still curious about a couple of things. First, I was wondering if you were awarded only points in these tournaments or if you would win your regular prize money as well. Second, was curious where the money would come from for the trophy the additional prizes added and the final prizes at the end of the season.(I am kinda thinking that part of the prize pools from each tourney might get set aside for this purpose??) Also was wondering if there was any differentiation between points awarded and cost of the buy in? I'll leave it at that appreciate any responses!
P.S. also trying to figure out how to put a picture to left of my posts like u guys do~!!

Welcome to the boards. On pokerstars the cheapest private tournament entry fee is 10+1 so 10 goes to the prize pool and 1 dollar goes to tourney rake to pokerstars.
EX: 45 Person Gaunlet Gamee
First gets $$180. Plus the awarded points.

The money added is all done by the fine staff of FTR. They do a wonderful job doing this league.

The dollar buy-in does not affect the points awarded. The cash won in any particular tourney is for the players to keep, but we track the points separately from cash wins.
And we put up all the nice extras...especially that fine Gauntlet trophy.
Next season will probably be back to $10 + 1 structure.
We are all waiting on Xianti to set it up, but Gauntlet III is just around the corner.
