Whoops, I just saw a PM from Lonnie that I got after the last gauntlet tourney that asked me to post a specific hand from it, as he thought it was an interesting hand.

Preflop its a pretty easy decision. The blinds are really small and I'm pumping up the pot a little bit in case I hit a good draw or am in a good position to buy the pot after the flop.
At the flop all I can do is hope someone has an ace or takes a stab at the pot. No reason to lead.
Probably the most interesting decision I made is at the turn, shoving all in when I know I have the best hand and don't want to scare him out. (Worthy of note, I also threw in a little bit of delay here before reraising, to try and sell that this was a tough decision for me).
Here's my reasoning:
After I call at the flop he has to put me on an ace, especially after my preflop raise. Since he leads again at the turn, and rather big, I figure that he must have a strong ace and think he has me beat now. I figure he will call if I raise.
Another reason I raise here is because of position. There is a chance that he'd check the river down if I just call here and then check on the river. And I don't like calling on the turn and then leading, as it tends to smell like slowplaying or a hand that improved big on the turn. Plus I figure he's pot commited. Lastly, I think any raise but an all in here (like a minraise) would look extremely fishy (like an absolute monster), and it MAY give him a chance to fold if he doesn't have an ace, even with him being so pot commited.
And finally, by request, the PM asked me to include in this post the "parting shot" of "AudiGWD [observer] said, any 2 can win".

I checked the nuts on the turn, but the river is just about the worst possible for my slow play - completes the flush, and is an A. I was hoping for a big ol' blank.
Also, have to show the hand I went out on. I guess I got a little nutty here, but someone just invoked the sacred name of Ripptyde, so I figured it was a sign. I was actually the favorite going into the flop,. but it was mostly a coin flip. Who the fuck calls with 56o?
