Different people on the forum have had different ideas on season 2's setup, ie. number of tourneys, how often tourneys are etc.

Wouldn't it be brilliant if we had a competition, where everyone who wants to comes up with their idea for the season 2 setup, and then we have a poll and vote for the one we like the most, then we use the format of the winner of the poll.

Just an idea, since so many people have been bouncing around their ideas for season 2's format.

Love to hear your ideas, but remember, we will be somewhat limited to what the poker room will allow us to do and configure.

Fully understood, I'm sure many of us know what rules are what with these private tourneys, so it would be great if everyone could present their ideas. The Gauntlet's were a bit spontanious this season to say the least, if we can get a few ideas then decide upon one we will probably have a very good and understandable structure to go by.

Its pretty standard in MTTs that only around the top 10% of the entrants cash. Besides, payout structure is not alterable in private MTTs, and we're really playing for the points anyway, which I think are fairly distributed.

Just wondering if you are still planning on following through with this idea?
I realize you are still in the planning stages, but every Wedsnesday and Saturday makes it easy to remember and schedule time to play. Stars and Absolute are both fine with me....Absolute is not my favorite place to play, but we are playing each other so it does not really matter where we are playing anyway.

Yes. We would like to do a game each and every Wednesday and Saturday, for a routine schedule. I need to contact our rep at Absolute to see if they can make an exception for us and accommodate this schedule.

Normally, they only allow one game per week for private MTTs.

How about you alternate between Stars and Absolute, so that players from both sofwares will get a chance? And so that you will be within Absolute's MTT rules.

How about a heads up tournament......we could have a bracket and everything. You could have it during the middle of the season, and give points for advancing/winning/whatever. And why not mix up the events. Not just LHE, but some stud and PLO, maybe some O8b. That would be fun, plus the winner would be the most well rounded poker player.

If nothing else this should allow you to hold Wed games at one site and Sat games at the other. Might take a tad more administrative work on your part for keeping track of the points.. but it shouldn't be bad.
I built my own poker table... Check It Out

No suggestion here, I liked the previous season format just the way it is. Just more people would be nice/fun.

It would be cool to maybe have the majority of the tournaments NLH, but have a limit one, maybe even some Omaha, stud, something?

I concur. I would keep it mostly NLHE, but include at least one PLO,Stud,O8/b, and at least 2or3 limit.
It'd be cool if we could get Razz and Stud Hi/Lo but most rooms don't spread them.
PLHE is my best game, So I'd like one of those too.
To win in poker you only need to be one step ahead of your opponents. Two steps may be detrimental.

I won't be able to make many games because of my work schedule, but I want an opportunity to play with the FTRers. It sounds like a blast, and I think it would help me to better apply some of the FTR advice. "When ever" and "where ever" will coincide with my schedule at least occassionally, but if someone could just hold my hand enough to get my name on the right list and cleared through the poker room, that'd be super. Thanks.
I'm a know-it-all.

No, really.

I like 2 games a week, this way everyone SHOULD be able to play atleast once a week. I mean the summer is coming up and all, I dont know why people wouldnt be able to do it.

If at all possible I would like to see this all happen on stars, but if for whatever reason thats not possible, atleast half on stars would be nice. I just REALLY hate absolute, thier software is really trash.
