Not sure whats in store of the next Gauntlet as far as rules, structure etc.
I know there was a problem with participation ( I was one of the 4 that one night).
Ever consider awarding a set amount of points just for playing?
Even if its only say 10, thats an 120 xtra points in a 12 game set.
I use this idea in a softball league I run where points are awared for wins, losses and everyteam gets an extra point just for showing up to play.
It has increased participation the last few years.
Just an Idea.

The problem with that is cases where there are so few players. Is it really fair to award a set number of points when just 4 players participate in one game?
However, something needs to to be done to make it worthwhile for players to participate when the turnout is so low. On that night where there was just 4 I came home from work planning on playing but when I saw the turnout was so low and so the points wouldn't add up to anything I decided against playing and wasting one of my 12 entries. I'd like to see some kind of FTR automatic point bump-up for the winner (and only the winner) of tournaments with fewer than 10 entries. IMO, even free FTR gear would not make up for the loss of one of our 12 entries but a point bump-up for the winner would. Kind of like a bounty.

The fact is though someone who is going to win this tournament or even the top 3 they will be playing a majority of the games so giving points away does not help because if they plan to win they have to play a lot, if ur just playin to play good competition and have some fun your not playin a bunch and it wont affect you either way... plus i know it wasnt many people didnt come, there were conflicts a lot of the times... with work or other things came up, at least in my case they did but blah im stupid and tired
