Congrats to Anosmic who took 1st place in today's game. He battled DCMirage & Genitruc for the win. His play was strong throughout the game.

Congrats to DCMirage for his excellent finish. He was patient all game long and won a few key hands when it counted down the stretch. It's his first 2nd place finish so I'm sure he's happy.

Genitruc had a great chip lead for the longest time and played aggressive and well. Just a few lost hands made the difference.

The final hand was a close one:
Seat 2: DCMirage (14058 in chips) (Ks9s)
Seat 6: Anosmic (24942 in chips) (Kc3s)
DCMirage: posts the ante 25
Anosmic: posts the ante 25
DCMirage: posts small blind 200
Anosmic: posts big blind 400
*** HOLE CARDS ***
DCMirage: raises 400 to 800
Anosmic: raises 400 to 1200
DCMirage: calls 400
*** FLOP *** [Jh Tc Kh]
Anosmic: checks
DCMirage: bets 4800
Anosmic: raises 18917 to 23717 and is all-in
DCMirage: calls 8033 and is all-in
*** TURN *** [Jh Tc Kh] [3c]
*** RIVER *** [Jh Tc Kh 3c] [As]
*** SHOW DOWN ***
Anosmic: shows [Kc 3s] (two pair, Kings and Threes)
DCMirage: shows [9s Ks] (a pair of Kings)
Anosmic collected 28116 from pot
*** SUMMARY ***

Seat 2: DCMirage (button) (small blind) showed [9s Ks] and lost with a pair of Kings

Thanks Crusher. And gg all.

I hope this one was a little bit more deserved than my suckout-to-victory earlier in the season.

I got lucky hand 2 v Biondino, which set me up well.

I was just really hoping to finish in a reasonable position, earn some nice points and at least put some pressure on Halvsame, I Like Pie and GatorJH. I was fairly shocked when the cards fell my way.

Hopefully it's added a bit of extra spice to the last couple of games and ensured that Pie (still my tip for the win... which is probably the last thing he wants to hear ) doesn't run off with the title just yet

In all it's gory detail, here's my Gauntlet V Game 19

I agree. This game does appear to be significant. Several top players fell before the final table and you were close in raking up even more points. Like Anosmic said, the pressure is on the top five now. It's also going to come down to games left to be played. Anosmic, Puck & Monty9 only have one game left while you and HalvSame only have two game left. And there are still five games remaining. Oh, the suspense is killing me.

lol, halvs hand is immediatley after the hand pie posted.

I had A8, I thought my stack was shorter so I just clicked the raise button, which min-raised with 1/4PSB behind. I really like pie's play on that hand. If I could go back I would have folded because A8 doesn't compare favorably with Pie's raising range, IMO.

OMG GAME 20 BOUNTY ON SWIGGIDY $10 IF HE GOES OUT BEFORE ME!

People don't care about money though. Maybe I should offer half naked pictures of myself. Would that make people try to kill swiggidy?

Meh. Maybe I should just learn to play poker?

Meanwhile with 5 matches for me to play and everyone watching the leaders, and courtie's offering , the time is right for a little backdoor rush!
I think my game plan is slowly coming together. Especially after I had to be pulled back in after I was halfway out the door on that phantom heads up! I still don't know how I won that mystery hand!
Once again, Crusher, thanks for the kind words!
