Yes, I remember that hand quite well.

Then again, I was gonna blind out next time around anyway.
Just my luck. My home tourney last week I ended up going out against AA the same way.

This was my first Gauntlet tourney. Was a blast to play with all you guys/gals.

My bankroll only lets me play in the super chaotic mess at the very low limits. Was refreshing to see how my play stacked up against ppl that have been playing and are considered goot players.

I think you should have played this pot for your whole stack. The blinds were so big that I think you were commited.

Yep.

My youngest daughter come running into the room during the previous hand and I was somewhat distracted. I mistakenly thought I was UTG and didn't realize what I had done until I noticed that I had only 873 in chips. I had to go back into the hand history to see what I did.

Lesson learned: don't mix kids and poker.

hey guys

I also really enjoyed my first taste of tournement play!! I've only been playing 2 months (in total!!) and to finish ITM in 8th place was a real buzz for me, even if it was only for $23!!!

I assume Ignored was the winner, he totally owned my on the final table as my seat was after his, and against his $30k with my $4k was pretty tough.

Good lessons learnt though

Yeah I busted out in 7th, pretty much straight after the break... blinds and antes were going to take me out next orbit so i threw it in with 55 and ran up againstWildBob's TT.

Really enjoyed it though - especially being seated to the right of DavSimon and Ripptyde for a while and beating on them.

I did get my slice of "tournament luck" to get to the final table of courst... At one point i was down to T557 with the blinds at 50/100 and won with A7s against ripp's A9s. A few hands later my QQ held up against an AK... and 20 hands (and some attacking play) later I was chipleader...

which didn't last quite as long as I would have hoped because Ignored went on a monster rush - got to 10,000+ and never really looked back. WP.

Looking forward to next weekend.

yeah, sitting next to Ignored i pretty much knew i was in trouble, any time i bet and he was still in the hand, he put me all in each time.

I got fed up and went for it with A8 hoping he was bluffing, but he had Q10 and made 2 pair!!

Like i said though, i was chuffed with my finish and definately looking forward to next week!

What a blast this tourney was!! My first FTR Gauntlet, got to play with the best of the best here on FTR, the table chat was non-stop fuckin' hilarious, and I almost made it into the money (Bubble Boy Golf_Ace = Gritter63).

Anyway, thanks for a great time. (uncomfortable man-hugs all around).
