Lesson Learned: Don't flip vs LD, you'll loose. See hands #74, #75, #80, (LD you'll like #73)
I'm just posting this for the interested. Although feedback is welcome.
I played bad early, tried Lag, missed flops, spewed etc. Late is super standard almost all of the final table was tight. Hand #27 was my lowest M, then I started building a stack.
Hand 38 was the difference between 2nd and nothing. I paused for a second or so before calling. I figured he's fold to a push and I could bail on a Axx flop. I was pushing any non-A flop, got lucky he caught a piece.

Interesting hand histories there, Swigg. I got lucky with the coin flips for sure (LD=LuckyDog.)
You played really well and had a commanding chip lead at the last break with three players left. You definitely controlled the table and should be proud.
Yeah, #73, 73, 75 & #80 were interesting but I really kind of liked hand #87 the best.
Thanks for the fun game.

I'll take a look at these later, but it looked like you played an awesome game last night (I was watching even though I couldn't chat with you).
Congrats on the 2nd place finish!!!

Good push on #38 to take me out, and you set it up by raising pre-flop and showing down A8 on me a couple times in the previous orbit. I thought AA or KK would have pushed preflop to my reraise, and a set would have slowplayed, no good draws, really expected a split pot there when I called.
That said I'm defiantly rusty, I haven't played much in the past year, and am just now trying to build a bankroll. I really like playing the gauntlet again(I haven't played since season II).For the price you can't beat playing against the quality competition.

So, per your request, here's a little feedback. You mentioned in two posts something about coin flips. I know you'll take this in the right spirit, but judging from your selected HH, you jumped into a lot of coin flips. Not just with me, of course, but throughout the tourney. Nothing wrong with that per se, but coin flips can diminish your chip stack if you loose. I think you made the right call on several occasions (again, judging from the selected HH.)
Being the short stack, coin flips for me were a necessity. I think I did fairly well being patient and coming up on top from a low point of 838 chips to your massive 10k lead (#39). That's not an easy task but there is a reason they say, "a chip and a chair." Coin flips can go either way, obviously, but it also depends on the strength of your starting hand during those flips. Grinding away is tough but patience rewarded me this time.
Again, I think you played really well and should be proud. You were dominiant throughout the game and your standings on the leaderboard reflect that. People will certainly fear you now.

Hey ... Flip Master....lol....
Nice comeback... thought you were out after the last break when you only had like 2 BBs....
Hand history is interesting... didn't realize I was playing as tight as I was...but it seemed like everytime I was gonna make a move it was a raise and reraise in front of me... you guys were just pushing the action..
Great game though.... nice playing with you two....

ty. Normally I would push KK. But you were really tight (too tight IMO). I figured you would fold hands I had dominated, pairs (maybe JJ even), some weaker broadway hands, KQ, AQ, AJ, etc. Plus if we say a flop I could get away from an Axx.

I partially agree, I do tend to jump into flips. If it's borderline I tend to learn towards flipping vs folding, especially if I feel villain has a skill advantage. The tourney I busted early was because I took a AK < pp flip pretty early. But the pot odds were there so I still feel it was the right decision.
I went back through some hands and I really didn't take any flips until the blinds were up to 400 and then it was generally with opponents that were less than 10BB and I had a 3:1 or better stack advantage. I was specifically more inclined to flip with you because:
1) I wanted you gone
2) you were very short for awhile
3) there was a higher chance you were making a move, thus decreasing your hand strength and increasing my equity

Absolutely a necessity. You did manage to get it in with the better hand every time, at least before the 400 blind level. You definitely put yourself in the best position to comeback and win. Too bad it worked

Hello to the man they call , TIM. You played really and kept the lead up through the final break until you lost one against Swigg. I think it's great to re-analyze one's game but I wouldn't judge your play solely on Swigg's HH. I believe it is a selected version of the game and it simply illustrates his style of play. I thought you mixed up your game really well. Sometimes you were tight (or patient) and other times you jumped in big preflop. For me, you were a bit harder to predict than others.
Judging from the Leaderboard, it looks like you and Swigg are going to make a really decent run against HalvSame, Pie and Puck for the lead. Sunday's showdown between you all will be very interesting indeed and anyone of you guys have a shot at the title. Good luck. Thanks for the fun game.

Yup, it's the output from
http://poker-tools.flopturnriver.com...-Converter.php
it's all the hands I was involved in. I remember plenty of hands where I folded to monty's raise, those will only show up as a strip and a pre-flop fold for me.

I like monty's play style. I don't like his 4x standard raise but I think he's a goot player. LD can't seem to lose a fvcking pot.

Dude, I was down to 838 in chips. That's some serious beating I took.
But I like Monty's play style too. And you're always at the final table, aren't you?

Why do I feel like I've been violated and now everyone knows I wear a pink rhinestone thong!
This is probably the first time my game has been exposed like this.
Congrats to Crusher, Swiggidy and Monty for pulling in the caaeeesh!
Yeah, Swig, I watched while you were on oxygen and very close to the felt. Nice comeback.
Fell out of my game plan twice...enough to bite dust!
I started watching the action at the other table while playing on mine. I realized it would give me insight on all you donkeys! I'm a slow learner. I thoroughly enjoy FTR play.
Donk out!

I probably donked out before I saw that. Every gauntlet I'm in with you I see you conisistently winning flips+. I think I've made the FT every time.

K2, you are a very good player and one that always makes the FT. I'm just wondering, however, if you and some others might be simplifying the coin flip thing a little. I dunno, maybe it's just me and others can reply, but I don't think it is always wise to push your chips into the pot just because there's a coin flip involved. As you all know, there is so much information that should be gathered before deciding if your cards can withstand a coin flip. Swigg's HH definitely showed some thought before he plopped into a flip so I give him credit there.
So maybe it's not a question of winning flips but when you choose to do so, the starting cards, the players, the chip stacks, etc. Otherwise, the consistency just doesn't happen.
Anyone else have thoughts?

^^ That is a good post.
It's true you can't just flip cuz you get a kick out of it. However, to win the tourney you have to win flips, something the player has no control over.
I think K2 was just stating you won a lot of flips (which is true). You were in a position where you had to flip, you usually had the best hand when you did flip. However, winning as many flips (or 60/40s if you wish) as you did was pretty damn lucky.
This whole flipping not flipping thing is debated every month or so in the SnG forum. Some people think they are better than taking a 50/50 flip with 1.5:1 pot odds. Some people think it's near impossible to be that much better against random opponents at a random on-line table.

Usually it's a question of how often the opponent's hand is actually a flip with yours. When you're holding 22 you don't actually know that the other player is holding AK making it a flip. That's why most players don't hesitate to throw it in with qq+ but play lesser hands for set value pf. TT, JJ are always annoying hands if you ask me. the ideal situation for a probable flip is you putting the opp. at a decision to call. I don't tend to call flips untill I am shortstacked or bigstacked and a shortstack just open pushed.
I was just saying it seems like you are running well Don't get me wrong, I also think you are a good player.
