What? Joining? Why is this so complicated.

But more seriously, what's with random friends n Shit playing. I mean random droolers would be ok, but random high stakes players? I dont see a net benefit for me here. But I suppose we can't just plan the set up purely to benefit Shit players, and who knows, maybe I'll learn something.

Anywho, off to Barcelona tonight, back on Saturday so will sign up then for everything important.

No entry fee means tons of net benefit. Learn something, have fun and spend time with peeps on FTR and not necessarily in that order.

Yea, I don't see the need to rush the game too much. Give us a little room to play poker early. Particularly for a lot of us cash game players with so little knowledge of ICM

We did look over the structure and 1.5k chips with 10 minute blinds seemed like the best option. Home Games have a lot of extra levels - here's a screenshot:

With 20 runners, and 1.5k chips each, that's 30k chips in play. Heads up will normally end when each person has about 15-20bb, we'll call it 15bb to be safe, which means the BB must be 1k so 30bb in play. That is level 17 or 170 minutes, or just under 3 hours. With 30 runners and 1.5k chips each - 45k chips in play, 1.5kbb or ~3.5 hours.

Running for 3.5 hours for UK players means starting at 7.30pm and finishing at 11pm, and given plenty of people will have work early on Monday I don't want it going much later than that. At the moment it looks like we were being optimistic to expect 30 people, although the newsletter going out in the next couple of days might increase attendance, and if turnout is regularly 15-20 people we'll increase the stacks a bit.

Week 2 is a 5k starting stack with 5 minute blinds so we'll see which one people prefer or maybe find something in the middle.

We start with 50bb? Ugh... can we at least start at 10/20?

It's Turkey day here so there is a huge chance I don't make this. If I can slip away I might. Depends on the families plans and how many are there. I may just need some time away from them.

Theoretically yes, in practice if you register for more than 2 games and sit out the entire time you'll be banned.
