I just got my ass handed to me in the inaugaral FTR league tourney. Being relatively new to the game, especially tournament play, I kind of expected that I would be in over my head, but I think I will have fun throughout the league anyway.
Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you to you guys for putting the league together. The forums already help me out tremendously, but playing against poker players of the caliber I'm facing in these tourneys can only help even more. I doubt there's anywhere else I could play such high quality players for a 10 dollar buy-in.
So, basically, just saying thank you, for the forums and the league and everything you do.

Thanks for setting this up guys. Had a blast. Got a little too aggressive with a nut flush draw and ran into PP. Looking forward to playing in the next one. I know playing with the caliber players in the league can only make my game better.

Okay. Everyone can send me $1 for thinking of turning FTR Showdown into a full blown league. Either that or give me a medal.

Yes, all should bow to Fyr's greatness. And he did so good in the 1st gauntlet.
Wait... Did you play in the 1st tournament? I don't remember seeing you. Hmmm. It's like you abandoned us.
I feel used!

I don't know what they have to say
It makes no difference anyway.
Whatever it is...
I'm against it.

Funny enough. I was finishing the nursery today. And thought the tourney was at 10pm EST. Then I remembered that time slot is for the Wed.'s night games.
Don't feel abandoned. I'll be there on Wednesday night.
But yes, all of you should still bow to my greatness. Great suggestion.

CONGRATS TO THE WINNERS! That was a lot of fun and quality play. Hope to finish even higher in future games. I like the friendly atmosphere of the games and over-all good play. Look fwd to aggressive play, slow-playing, re-raising, check-raising, and semi-bluffing with all of you in future tournys 8-)
