CONGRATULATIONS TO I LIKE PIE!

This was possibly the closest race to the finish that we have seen in the five seasons of our poker league, the FTR Gauntlet. In a surprise upset in his final game and second-to-last game of this season, I Like Pie secured his place in 1st! In the final Game 24, no one was able to take that lead away from him.

Congratulations also to Anosmic in 2nd place, who held the lead through several games late in the season and to Jimmy Mac who finished in 3rd place.

All three have won FTR gear and cash prizes for their outstanding performances, and I Like Pie is the winner of the coveted FTR Gauntlet V trophy!

Special thanks to all the Gauntlet players for an exciting and competitive season. This was the first season that everyone understood competition for competition's sake and played A-game poker to better one's tournament skills with all tough opponents -- the real spirit of our online poker league!

Congrats, I Like Pie for a very solid performance. Three 1st place victories and a stellar, well-disciplined game 23 certainly sealed the deal. Congrats to Anosmic and JimmyMac for their success.

This was my first opportunity to play in The Guantlet and I had a blast. Great people, solid players and nothing but fun and respect during the tourney. I learned a few more things and shall definitely tweak my strategy for next season. Can't ask for a better $5 game anywhere.

Thanks for the fun.

Grats to the top winners for some well played games and especially to PIE. Enjoy that trophy!
Once all-in and called, you are simply at the mercy of the cards.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

And thanks to Xianti and FTR for putting together such a great league. I had a good time.

Also, congratulations to the other top finishers Anosmic, Jimmy Mac, HalvSame, GatorJH and everyone else that played, you were all great competition.

Congrats to ILikePie FTW, and Anosmic for his sterling 2nd place. Game 23 was exciting with all the top players at the final table - thought I had a chance to pinch it till I lost a 20k pot against lukie lol.

Anyway, I luckboxed my way to third, so go me!. I'm going to pick out some FTR gear!

I Like Pie recently posted a couple pics of his Season V trophy in our Photo Gallery. Here's one of them:

so you get to pick the cards on the trophy right? People talk about it but I don't see it in the rules

Wed's To Do List:
1) Bust Swigg from the Gauntlet
2) Send Courtie to the Rail to join Swigg
