Man Alive filled the small blind to see a flop with J6, 4 players total. Flop comes J * 6, I move all in with my 1600 or so. Fold around to the fat stack, he calls with QJ, turn comes a Q making his 2 pair the best.

HARD TO TAKE, but hey out in 39th and the best hand won. I was on a comeback too down to 880 and building my way back up, I knew I should have let that $75 small blind go, but in my head right before calling the pot was at 450 or so and it cost me $75 to see the flop, so the pot odds sucked me into the flop and when 2 pair hit, I pushed and I wanted a call hoping to double up or better. I got my call, and the rest is history.

Good Game all, I really enjoyed it!

DavSimon is an unknown quantity at this point
I made an ill advised move at a pot with J-J....I had the guy on A-Q or similar - Since I hadn't plaed a single hand for 5 orbits I figured I would get credit for a monster....unfortunately he turned his set of deuces and was not folding....playing 2 out of 45 hands will make jacks look a lot stronger than the are.

oh, damn... Worm won again?

I'm awaiting the Game 19 report from AP. I'll update the Leaderboard as soon as I do.

EDIT: Leaderboard has now been updated with tonight's results.
Nice job, Worm.

Thanks alot guys. It feels great to win again. I'll tell ya what, everything went my way today. I did feel that I played great though. I was shortstacked most of the tournament and even into the final table I was the second short stack. Throughout the tournament I won every coin flip. I had my 33 hold up against Jes, I don't remember what he had but it was a flip. Another big one for me was when my TT held up on the final table against AJ. I did get extreemely lucky in a few spots and outflopped a couple people. I made some great plays though. Being shortstacked most of the time, I wasn't able to make many plays but I stole many blinds successfully and I made some great laydowns. I layed down AQ, JJ, AK and QQ at times when I could have easily made these calls. I did make a good call with K9 when I think someone went all in with K8 and I was able to hold and knock them out. Once it got shorthanded I was loving it as this is what I like to play. I felt I had a little advantage playing shorthanded, or at least I felt very comfortable. I was able to get the chip lead by the third break and never looked back. Final hand I was fortunate to outflop my opponent. We were basically taking turns stealing each others blinds. He raised preflop and I came over the top with QT fully expecting to take the pot down right there. Unfortunately he actually had a hand and showed me AQ. The flop came 10 high and the rest is history.

Congrats, Les_Worm!!

I am SOOOOOOO relieved that some one-post wonder didn't win this tournament. At my first table, there was only one person who knew what FTR was. I don't know why, but the whole tournament was upsetting me, because there were so many non-FTR people. 990 points up for grabs, and the thought of somone getting into the top three by playing a single tournament just was just eating away at me.

I went out in ~22nd with my JJ all-in pre-flop vs AKo.
EDIT: .....errrrr 28th place, now that the results are up......

Congrats again, Les!!![/i]

Good point EasyT. Next season we need to think about how to tweak the setup.

It's not hard. Just get sign ups at the beginning of the season, and not let all these Joes walk in off the street with only 2 weeks left.

Check out the Bad Beats section. Staple Gun, who has played almost every week, and is in the top 15, got knocked out by some fish catching runner-runner. The fish joined FTR the day of the freeroll and has NEVER posted on FTR.
It's...
just...
not...
right.
