I felt i played fairly well for the most part but I had one question about a particular hand and i'm not sure if it was the right thing to do or not. I dont have the hand history because it never played out, and not everyone was at the table at the time so they wont know the particulars. The blinds were up to i think 100/200 or so and most of the game was blind stealing at this point, i had been raised everytime I was on the BB by the SB and it was folded around. It happened one more time folded around the table, the SB raises to 600 and I pushed all in and the SB folded and i show the table Q6 offsuit. I have a few questions about the play.

1. Was it the right thing to do?
2. Was showing my hand bad taste?

Absolutely right in my opinion. I noticed a lot of stealing too, and somebody has to make a stand at some point. Like with a T8 suited

I don't think showing your hand is ever bad taste. It can be bad tactically, but that's for you to decide.

I remember that hand, I was pretty shocked when I saw it. Thats when I realized that you could push back when you needed to.

IMO I think showing Q6o was the BEST thing you could have done at that point.

You had a VERY tight table image. People were running over your blinds because you knew they would fold. Pushing back once or twice only makes them think that you had a hand that time.

Showing a hand like Q6o makes them reconsider their future blind steal attempts. You changed gears to put a stop to them. It lets the know that your tired of them picking on your blinds and your going to fight back.

Showing your hand can have its perks. If you remember I showed alot of my big hands. I think i showed too many big ones. It got to the point where my great cards wern't getting the calls I wanted and everyone was folding. I showed a few lesser hands, but by that point it I believe it was too late.

I'm just curious, how did your BB's hold up after that?

Then you made the right move. You changed your table image at the right time.

That one hand could have been the difference between where you finished and where you might have finished. Well that and putting Tyson out with a flopped boat didn't hurt.

Now who would that be directed towards? Are you trying to imply that I was the table bully?
I scoff at the thought of it. My hands deserved a raise. I still can't believe I tried to defend my blinds with a raise holding 95o! Damn you and your all-in pushes

You did it to me on a couple of different times, where I had a strong hand but not strong enough for an allin. It actually hurt my position because I wasted several thousand chips there at the end. Well played tourny, Mel!
Holy crap I cant play against Yoda!!

Golfer had a tough time at the end there. Between me and my raises, and Mel and her re-raised you ened up in a bad spot.

Overall I was very happy with the way I played, though. I went thru the HH and found maybe 2 or 3 things I could have changed. Overall no major goofs.

I had 2
One was trying to slow play AA.. would have worked if the guy wouldn't have turned a set. I re-raised like 3k on the river and lost. should have just calledthe bet, would have saved alot of chips.

another was pushing back at NuWere with 95o.. oops

Yeah, I was the small blind Melinda was referring to. I attacked the blind with decent hands. I remember that particular raise and all-in, which really hurt my chip stack, but most of my raises were all pretty legit, it just so happened that it was Melinda's big blind often times.

On that particular hand, I raised with 22. The all-in bet by her shut me down, I figured the BEST CASE scenario was a coin flip, but good chance she had me dominated. I opted not to battle that hand, and figured I had enough chips to wait for a better opportunity. Of course I was wrong, because when I went all-in with TT, she had QQ...ugh...shoulda stuck with the ducks.

But, anyway, it was a great all-in raise, it didn't matter to me that you showed the hand, just about any two cards would have made this a coin flip scenario.

Just wish that you would've chosen to fight back when I raised you with KK!!!

Great game.

My bad.... that'll teach me not to go out after work on a Thursday.

Feeling as rough as a badgers arse this morning too, after my beer and kebab exploits last night.
