Because they call big raises preflop with 54s and then call a massive all in when they have a flush draw with it on the turn, and proceed to hit.

That was kind of weak. I watched that hand. The best play he made was calling your all-in though. His PF call was weak and his play up to the turn was weak but even *I* put you on two overcards...and I suck. He had an OESD, flush draw, and 6 outs from his 4 and 5. Was the best shape he was in all hand.

Honestly though, I think it's something about AP. I think it has subliminal messages to get people to chase ridiculous hands and then rewards them on the river by filling them.

That was me...

when you rasied I was big blind so it wasnt much more to call, and I had around 16,000 chips so I was probably playing stupid...

then the flop was

3d 8d 6c

It was checks correct me if im wrong?

then the next card

3d 8d 6c was what a 9?

Then you went all in....I deceided to call since I put you on like a AJ or something high...

last card came 4 of hearts...

I checked the odds and it basically was a coin flip...Sorry if I ruined your games or streak or something but its not my fault a 4 came up...

You were mid position and limped the 54s, then called a 3xBB raise with it. That's not good.

I bet the flop, you were indeed right to call though.

I pushed the turn, and didn't notice you had the OESD aswell. That makes this hand a very close deicison though. It was 2/3 of your stack (you didn't have 16k in chips, only about 4.7k at that time) so I'd fold this. But it wasn't too horrible to call.

Dwarfman are you saying you dont want people calling your bets when they are behind? Last time I checked that was +EV for you!

sounds a desperately hopeful call that paid off. some one made that same call on me at Noble the other night, even though my bet placed them all in. ironically, I had AJ, and he had 44, with evrything but the 10 to fill my hand on the board. although I was betting big through the hand, he held in and put me on the broken straight, just as Highcard did in this situation.
