Default New "Qualified Members" Club for Password Access!

We've decided to update and improve our exclusive monthly events where we give away hundreds of dollars of prizes each month to give our members better value and smaller fields!

    Qualified Members Club

From now on, only Qualified Members will be given access to the passwords to our exclusive monthly freerolls and added money events.

Minimum Requirements: To be an active, contributing member monthly

Please note the requirement is based on quality posts, not total posts.

New: When you are judged to be a member falling in this category,, you will be automatically added to the Qualified Members group. Being added to the group does not mean you are guaranteed to stay in it - your posts will be double checked.

"Quality" posts include good contributions to strategy threads, new hand history analysis threads with good supporting information, or interesting contributions to non-strategy discussion. For example: here, here and here

Membership in the group will last for one whole calender month and any of the remaining month. If you are then not active for that period after being promoted, you will be removed from the group. When you become active again, you will then be added to the group

    See our exclusive events here!

Pascal, your links in the here, here and here examples of quality posts had so much potential. But for the non-strategy example you failed to link to the original boog to bufu name change thread.

this seems to me to be a little harsh . " When you apply your posts will be vetted " without part of my name , i'll be only crazz and thats seems to be unfair . not that at times i'm not crazz but thats only 1 week of the month , lol . just joking all , i'll keep at this and i'll try to be more supportive here at FTR , till that time , weeeeeeeeee , lol .

Not sure how vetting posts is "unfair" - the idea is for high quality contributors who have contributed to the forum to be rewarded

e just seems like alot you have to do and if you are not a heavy poster or being able to help as others can.. still dont understand how come the requirements for the added is the same. just seems like you need to know much about everything.

atleast the articles and videos are "free" so far hopefully will keep being

well, as i said in other forums before, i have no time to live in the forums so i cant post so often and i wont be able to fill the requirements, also about "quality" - from my forums experience i can say if u want quality players jus ignore the freerolls and organize BUYIN ADDED games ONLY, Believe me u will keep more quality members than ur definition of "quality" does!!!! Who cares about "quality" posts if the tourneys are full of freeroll hunter donks only, who never play with their own money buyin games So think about for ppl like me too, who dont have time to post but who dont hunt freerolls only and ready to play buyin games also

If you look at our list of exclusive events, we've only got added buy ins for our Qualified Members at the moment anyway

    http://www.flopturnriver.com/pokerfo...ts-159828.html

15 posts a month is only 1 every other day, and if you post a good hand analysis thread you'll likely get 3 or 4 posts from that thread alone asking questions about replies, so I don't think the requirements are unreasonable
  16. #16
now yea but before there was about 10-15 events with freerolls most of them anyway i hope i could hit 35 posts soon

Cake's pulled out the US market in the last couple of days (just put a thread up about it here) but we'll have a couple of new tournaments to replace it in the coming days hopefully!

We don't really worry about losing innactive members actually so feel free to either become an active member and contribute or take your ball and go home. Your bluff is useless here, you have no fold equity. There is nothing in the pot.

If you think playing members are inactive .... I've enjoyed to play private buy-in tournaments from this forum but it's your choice and if you loose the playing members it will be more dificult to receive tournaments from the rooms.

    Hi bilucky,

I understand your point. However, our freerolls are meant to reward our active members - the money is added by FTR. We do hope in the future that if you sign up to a poker site via us we will have a way to let you into the tournaments but right now that is not possible and this is the best way to help us reward our regular members. All we ask is that you make 1 post every 2 days (or 5 posts less than once a week) which can be about anything as long as they have some good content. I don't think that's much to ask for some great value tournaments!

See this is where a lot of people make the mistake, this isn't free money from the rooms. IT's FTR's money and we decide where to use it.

Feel free to start a blog, post in the commune or even discuss a hand. It's not asking too much for 5 minutes everytime you come here to look for free cash to post something valueable. Hell you guys play like 100 hrs of freerolls a week trying to win $5

Yes. It doesn't include direct sign up tournaments (where you are only eligible if you are a direct signup through FTR) or some special events.

Good Lord, don't see you around as frequently as I did years ago. Hope you have won enough playing poker, that you now play poker because you want to, not because you have to.

Bump - new requirements of 20 total posts and 5 posts a month! We're looking for quality posts, and you only need ~1 post a week

To clarify my answer to Vex, you need to pay the buyins yourself.

The fields recently have been very small, events with $250 added are working out at over $10 free per player!

    Hi ddomo,

You are a Qualified Member - you can tell by the badge under your name. You have it guaranteed for all of December and then you need 5 posts in December to keep it in January, 5 posts in January to keep it in February, etc

I'll see if we can send out a welcome PM to everyone when they become a Qualified Member, good idea
  37. #37

I played 2 months ago with no problems, now I'm not sure I'll be able to see the password. I hope so, I sure love the games this forum puts on! Being a U.S. player, I'm limited to the poker rooms I can join.

the qualified member badge is very helpfull and the PM idea also. will this be done automaticly or do i have to join the qualified members group?

The requirements are listed in the first post. You will not be accepted into the club until you've reached the requirements in the first post.

Please note that the requirement is for quality posts, not one liners saying how happy you are to be here etc

I signed up to FTR to learn about poker and improve my game, I didn't even know about the freerolls / money added events until after I'd joined.

Really the extra tournaments are merely a side dish, the main course is being part of the GREATEST FORUM OF ALL TIME.

    OF. ALL. TIME.
