I jumped on Indy after reading lee's post. Now let's hope they look good tonight and that pushes the line up. I like this bet no matter what though.

Indy -9 vs. HOU (+100) - 2 units @ Pinnacle

Not many games I like this week... Min +3 vs. GB, I don't care if it's a primetime game and Favre's last at Lambeau, he's just been horrible this year and will continue to be so... NYJ +1 vs. MIA, I like this a lot, the Jets are hot and playing for something while Miami just got eliminated, this is probably a 2 unit play... DAL -7 vs. Phi, I'd like this a lot more if it drops to -6.5, I still think I should fade my Eagles, but I'm nervous after they pulled out the big win in NY yesterday.

So many tough games to pick this week... Ten +4.5 vs. BUF, two hot 7-7 teams fighting for the playoffs, go with the home team? NE +3 vs. JAC, again a game with big playoff implications, very tough to know who's the better team here, I think Jacksonville and you know the public will be on New England, so I might play the Jags here... especially if it drops to -2.5. NO +3 vs. NYG, normally I'd take the Giants at home in a must-win game any day, but after the egg they laid yesterday I'm not so sure.

Ok, this is Fezzik's pick. It's a 2 weight and I like his reasoning, so I went for it a half-point higher than he posted.

TB vs. CLE OVER 35.5 (-108) - 1 unit @ Pinnacle

This is already climbing up and up, so if you like it, jump on it.

Pulled the trigger on Minnesota tonight. I almost didn't, because they have the rookie QB starting his first game, but I trust Brad Childress to keep him out of too much trouble. This is more about fading Favre.

Going out of town through Xmas so I'm placing everything before I leave. Just added:

ATL -6.5 vs. Car (-101) - 1 unit @ Pinnacle

Don't love Atlanta this year, but I do love betting against Carolina on the road with Chris Weinke at QB.

NYJ M/L vs. MIA (+113) - 2 units @ Pinnacle

It's bizarre to me that the Jets are an underdog. They have everything to play for and Miami has nothing.

I think that's it for me. 10 units in play... 'tis the season of gambling!

A good start to Week 16 that would have been a hell of a lot better if GB's kicker had missed that winning FG (or I had stuck with the spread and not gotten greedy with the M/L). Still, KC came through tonight, which was nice.

YTD:
Straight wagers: 24-16
2-team teasers: 7-1
3-team teasers: 2-3
Same game teasers: 1-0
Totals: 1-2
+28.15 units

Not happy to see the Jets line all the way up to +127 after I already locked in two units at +113. I'm tempted to press it, but I'll try to resist. Added a unit on the Falcons, giving me:

ATL -6.5 vs. Car (+100.5) - 2 units @ Pinnacle

Added a unit on the Colts @ -8.5, giving me:

I know this is a square play, but I just don't think Houston can keep this game close.

Wow, I just looked at my pending wagers at Pinnacle and the Atlanta bet I placed on Thursday is missing

Have no idea how that happened... obv I never placed it

I'm glad I checked my pending wagers, I almost never do that. I placed the bet, which is now at -6 (+101) so in this case I gained a half-point. Still a little confused about what happened though. To recap what I have for the day, all at Pinnacle (double-checked):

Ind -9 vs. HOU (+100) - 2 units
Ind -8.5 vs. HOU (-101) - 1 unit
ATL -6.5 vs. Car (+102) - 1 unit
ATL -6 vs. Car (+101) - 1 unit

Trainwreck today, -6 units. I watched the Atlanta/Carolina game and I have to say, I've NEVER seen a team that needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive play with as little emotion and effort as Atlanta did. Carolina barely let Weinke play (he was 4-7 for 32 yards, was sacked 3 times and they even took him out for 8 plays in favor of a direct snap) yet Mike Vick looked WORSE. Unbelievable game.

At least lee must have had fun watching his Texans beat the Colts

Added one unit on the Jets M/L. This qualifies as a chase, but 1) I really liked this game before my horrible day yesterday, and 2) with my record this season, I'm entitled :P
