Just saw Dawn of the Dead (the remake) for the first time the other night. What a GREAT opening! And if you don't keep watching after the credits start to roll...well...thou art an idiot.

the remake of dawn of the dead was an awesome surprise. I love zombie movies (and pretty much anything post apocalyptic) and so I was going to check it out no matter what, but wasnt expecting much. The zombie baby was a really cool twist, it brought out some nice depth in the characters imo. Srsly, not only good zombie movie, but good movie period.

I actually <3 the remake of Night of the Living Dead... it's missing terts, but is just brilliantly funny on so many levels... esp at the very end when they are like boxing the zombies.. and stringing them up and shooting 'em with machine guns. I <3.

Went and saw this tonight, it was pretty f**king great. Started out a little slow but from the point things started happening every scene was awesome. Technically well-made (but not many special effects - imo that's a good thing in this genre), decent actors for the most part, some good references (an Evil Dead one in particular had me rofling) and lots of cool slashing.
I think probably 97% of the dialogue and jokes will work just as well when translated, so if you're going to Sundance def check it out.

apparently this movie has used the most fake blood of any movie out there
and it was directed by peter jackson (the guy who did the lord of the rings...
