I'm surprised there hasn't been a thread on this until now. I actually found out about it earlier from my brother, who doesn't even play poker.
Naturally there is a 2p2 thread on this, unfortunately I haven't found any truly helpful info in there outside of personal opinion/speculation.
2p2 thread: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/57...3/index16.html
Interesting post that is, as of right now, not responded to and I don't have an opinion (yet):

when the law changed everyone blamed bush even though dems had control of the house of reps and many dems signed on.. doj is a department under control of the president. , not congress! obama's administration authorized this act plain and simple. to think it bush holdovers' initiative is absurd. they lose their jobs in a heartbeat. i am a former dojusa attorney and believe me nothing of this magnitude begins without approval of the president's appointee

I just requested a check yesterday, knowing about this stuff. Dean, when the check bounced is that all that occurred? The check was merely sent back to sender and that was all? Or did the bank have any words with you about funds possibly being gambling related etc?
I've been told the checks from the new processor's should work. However, I'm still inclined to open a checking account at another bank with this check.

there are about 20 threads on this so far
the checks that are bouncing are isolated to certain processors, if you have a check and you're unsure, just email the site and ask. echecks are still down, nobody knows for how long. checks are working again just fine it seems
ppa is claiming that there is likely to be a huge battle fought over this that may ultimately end up in the courts deciding the legality of internet pokers.

Has anyone cashed a check from Full Tilt recently? Trying to decide between check and bank transfer.

I did the premium bank wire and had it in like 3 days. I hear this is not so nice to your MGR (why this would affect your MGR, I dont know)...

Did your bank charge you a fee for the premium bank wire?

because MGR is basically profit sharing
when you do something that costs the poker room money, their profits go down so it hits your MGR

It is better to receive your withdrawal by wire transfer rather than a bouncing check. Good luck o all of you and you at the tabls.

not only did MY bank charge me $15 for a premium wire, but the 3rd party bank FTP used to send the wire took another ~$20 out of my withdraw amount. so with an MGR hit, a $3k bank wire was like $2930ish after all the fees.
