after playing the old classic 'space invaders' for a while, clearing like 20 levels, and having 10 or so lives in backup, I quit out of sheer boredom. All of these games are ridiculously easy compared to more advanced games that we're all used to...

True story. My best friend in HS was the world record holder of Asteroids for like 48 hrs (when it was bested). I forget exactly how many hrs he played but it was like 38 hrs or something. The pizza joint we did it at gave us free pizza and pop for the duration. LOL, he would build up a ton of ships then sprint to the bathroom while his ships died. He would make it back with only like 10 ships left, then start the build up again. Hehe.
He later tried for the defender world record but lost at like 22 hrs.
