OKAY WTF.
I SUCK AT CITATIONS, WHEN I WRITE PAPERS I DONT DO A GOOD JOB WRITING THE PROPER FORMAT FOR MY IN TEXT CITATIONS OR WORK CITED. LAST SEMESTER I DIDNT HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH MY PREVIOUS COLLEGE WRITING TEACHER. BUT THIS ONE INSISTS THAT ME BEING SLOPPY ON MY CITING IS ME BREAKING THE ACADEMIC INTEGRITY CODE. SHE DECIDES "TO GIVE ME A BREAK AND NOT REPORT IT TO THE DEAN" WHEN THIS SHIT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE AN ISSUE. I MEAN WTF! GOD WHAT A BITCH. WHY CAN'T SHE JUST TAKE SOME POINTS OFF IS THIS REALLY A PROBLEM? WTF I MEAN SERIOUSLY MY LAST COLLEGE WRITING TEACHER LOVED MY WORK AND I GOT AN A- AND NOW THIS BITCH HATES MY SHIT AND ILL PROBABLY GET A B-

Even if you mess up I think your teacher is misunderstanding the rules, he/she is not supposed to report a student to the dean if there is no intent to plagerize...

They're actually incredibly strict with this and will report even the smallest mistakes, intentional or not. It's hard to classify intentional in a lot of circumstances. Getting kicked out of school is another thing. It would have to be pretty blatant for that.
IMO, you're lucky she "let it slide." In the few cases I've seen, students have failed the paper as a warning and repeated cases end in class failure and academic probation.

I see. At my school so far my teachers have not been this strict. I don't see why college profs cannot just learn the difference between copying someones work and not citing it properly...
And there is a difference between not citing it properly and just not citing it at all and putting it in your own words btw...

I've never had a problem with easybib but I usually use the MLA official site as a way to double check citations. Maybe it's one of those only as good as the user things.

I got a TA that refuses to give As on our papers. I know of 3 other TAs that have given people 97+ on their first submissions. (They're supposed to bomb the first submission and then grade easier on the second) Of course, I get all 88s and one time got LOWER on my resubmit. So I could have had an easy A but instead have a B+ becuase my TA is beyond a douche.
